Brush heads won't stay attached

Montana Chick - 25 days ago
I owned a Quip toothbrush for five years, and I finally had to get rid of it. I bought a Phillips One instead, and it's way better than the Quip. The Quip has a bad design that tries to defy physics, and it just loses out. After about a year, the brush heads won't stay attached to the handle. I usually ended up using tape to hold it together. I've made Quip replace my handle several times and also replace brush heads that wouldn't stay on, and it will work for a while until it doesn't. It was too expensive of a toothbrush for it but to work perfectly. I have attached a photo to prove how many handles I've been through.

I got rid of my soniccare toothbrush as it was too much for my sensitive teeth and gums. This toothbrush provides the clean feeling of an electric toothbrush without the soreness. I have only had it for a month but no complaints!

Quip's QC has gone downhill. I've had this Quip toothbrush for several years, so I purchased one for my boyfriend mid-2023. After several months the button was no longer powering the brush, even after replacing the battery and re-seating the mechanism. We purchased a replacement in October of 2024 and it's also now not working in the same manner. My 5-6 y/o Quip brush is also no longer powering on but that's not unexpected considering its age. I really like these brushes so I'm very disappointed, but we've purchased our last one.

Worked well while it lasted, but my husband’s stopped turning on after a couple of months and mine stopped working after nearly a year.

These never last. I’ve been through four now and I’m done. This last one didn’t end last four months. Total gimmick, company is hard to deal with. Waste of money. Just made to end up in the landfill.

I tried this brand because I had heard so much hype about it but what a letdown. I haven’t even had it long enough for the new brush head interval and I’ve had to replace the battery four times. It would be way better if it were rechargeable.

I bought this while traveling because my OralB iO toothbrush broke mid-trip and I couldn’t find any in-store nearby to replace it. Having used electric and sonic toothbrushes for more than 20 years, this is the worst one I’ve ever used. It’s basically a manual toothbrush that vibrates a little. I see no benefit from the bristle movement at all. Far from the performance of even the least expensive Sonicare or OralB electric brush, both of which are comparably priced.
Let me explain about the "three" rating
3 out of 5 stars
Vicki - 10 months ago, Verified purchaser
Number 1: I like the toothbrush very much. It is slim and quiet. I wish it didn't buzz and then turn off, because I actually brush longer. Number 2: I cannot, I mean CANNOT get the brursh head off without extreme effort. I am old, and have arthritis in my right hand, so it is really hard to get it off. It shouldn't be. You shouldn't have to be young to use it. Or a weight lifter, for that matter. Competitors' brushes (I've tried three now), do not pose this problem for me. If it weren't so slim and comfy to use, I'd pitch it into the trash for this reason alone. The three rating is partially because of this. Number 3: I tried to contact a person about the above problem. I was required to create an account, send an e-mail, which was acknowledged as an "opening of an account" and got no further response about the difficulty removing the brush head. Number 4: At Quip they apparently think thier AI is good enough to handle problems, but it is not up to the task. Number 5: I do not like a company that is unresponsive to consumer issues. All Quip seems to want to do is shove those toothburshes out there and then forget about it. Sell, sell, sell. A company that doesn't respond is not worth much in my opinion.

It turned on once but after that it’ll stay on for a second then turn back off. I tried leaving it on the charger for a little longer but the light turns off indicating it’s fully charged, but still nothing. Also, this toothbrush just feels like a normal toothbrush but it vibrates. The vibrations literally do nothing so you’re better off with a normal toothbrush or a different electric toothbrush.
Great products.

Love the brush and the water flosser. Have not used the toothpaste since I prefer paste for sensitive gums.

Pretty sweet - spoils me. (I wish I could recycle or recharge the batteries.) I brush my teeth a lot more than I used to because of this toothbrush. Thanks, Quip - I got many compliments at the last dental exam!

When purchasing this toothbrush I had read through the reviews seeing comments such as they had only had it for a month or so and it stopped working, etc etc. I was super excited to get a quip toothbrush (because its quip duh!) so i gave them the benefit of the doubt. I purchased 2 toothburshes and within 1.5 months BOTH had stopped working. tried chaning the batteries and cleaning out the battery holding are, and still had no luck. It also seemed to be knocking out my fillings, just something to be cautious of. It was an ok toothbrush, while it worked.
Love the new quip color!

I’ve had my copper colored quip brush for years & love it. I’m excited to try this new color, it’s cheerful looking! Quip toothbrushes make brushing your teeth fun, and having your toothbrush tell you when it’s time to switch to your next row of teeth is great!

i have been using this toothbrush for over a year, and have been using it with no battery in it because it NEVER works or stays on. the second i press it to my teeth, it turns off. i play the button game 6-7 times, sometimes i get like 30 seconds of it actually working. and THEN, recently a fun new game of “how did the toothbrush turn itself on and throw itself on the floor” began a few weeks ago when i decided to try to throw a battery back in to use the electric portion of the toothbrush i had paid for, after buying new brush heads. it turns on randomly throughout the night, next to me while i’m doing my skincare, all the time. this is a hazard, i could slip on this or something.

My family love their quip electric toothbrushes. And the refill plan takes the guess work out if when to replace toothbrushes. And I love the new flosser. I have RA and it us much easier for me to use than traditional floss

This is the second replacement on this item. They have a mind of their own and only work when it wants. Now Target claims the window for return has expired. Purchased 4 months ago. It seems Target squirmed out of this one. So, for $40 this product is of poor quality. Second thinking of buying anything again from Target.

I really enjoy the product. It works for both my husband and myself. We've got 2 of these coming on regular shipments. Really economical and the sleek design makes it fashionable in the process of oral hygiene.
