Purdy XL Glide 2-1/2 in Medium Stiff Angle Trim Paint Brush

I would highly recommend the use of this brush for anyone who has a home improvement project that involves stain or paint. Excellent materials and wonderful application. It made our project that much easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brush works really well. No shedding while using. It makes painting in corners very easy. The brush is user friendly, and even for a left-handed person like myself, it works well. I love the size of the brush too, it isn't huge even though it's an XL, but is just the right size. Medium stiff is the way to go, I don't think it would have worked as well if it was any stiffer, and I think anything softer wouldn't have been able to pick up as much paint as I needed it to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all purdy products I get all my brushes in bulk from my local Sherwin Williams, I invested 3,200 this year in brushes alone for my crews. The XL's though don't seems to be lasting long at all, the bristles are pulling out instantly and consistently the ferrule start rusting after the first wash, even if we spin out and hang. All other purdy brushes are great and hold up to great. Seems the XL's have taken a step back, we are considering using Wooster Silver Tips instead of the XLs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This XL Glide paint brush was bought because I've had a number of projects around the house needing paint, stain, you name it, and I need a good brush that's up for the job and will last ....I've finally found the one! This brush is large, but slanted so it gets the job done, the soft bristles help it glide on perfectly! If you need a good Brush for your home improvement needs, highly recommend this one!

A good brush like this makes painting a pleasure and the results are smooth lay down of paint and clean edges. It is well-worth the price and if you clean the brush promptly after use it will last for decades. Bristles are attached well and don't fall out. It is easiest to clean water-based paint with a non-soapy cleaner like 409 and a paint brush comb and then a stiff brush. Then let the brush dry before storing.

It applied smoothly, with the Purdy paint brush provided. The bristled didn’t get clumped up, the stain spread smooth, and didn’t seem thick like leading brands do and have the streak lines left behind. It dried quickly and had an amazing finish. The paint brush was super easy to wash out and use again.

This brush can hold a lot of paint, yet is designed to be so precise - it is a dream for cutting in, and makes it so easy to get into corners or along edges without making a mess. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Purdy XL Glide brush, and I like it. The bristles are nice and soft, but have a good firmness. It is apparently handcrafted, which is cool. It is a good brush for many projects, but I ended up using it for outdoor stain. It made my stain smooth and even. I like the way this brush handles. Overall, I recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad I tried this Purdy XL Glide painting (staining) brush. It made painting edges, borders, windows, molding a breeze. The slight edge of the bristles helps keep a straight line when painting and no taping was necessary.

I used it on my outdoor dining table and two chairs. These were really worn and needed replacement. I need to get some more for the remaining chairs. I'm glad I didn't. This definitely did the trick. Now they look adorable good as the day I bought them.
