I’ve used my Cora cup for a couple of years now and yes, it can take getting used to but honestly, inserted correctly, you get more protection than a tampon. No panty staining, no need to hurry and change it out. I personally insert and remove in the shower. I do have NAILS, I would say medium length. Totally doable still. I highly recommend this for athletes, summer, pool-time.

Like anything it takes some getting used to and if you have an ‘ick factor,’ that needs to be gotten over before you can use it correctly. It does not leak if placed correctly which means inserting fingers and giving it a slight turn to create the seal. Much prefer a cup to disposable products. Can use for sleep, swimming, all day wear on lighter days. Heavy days be prepared to empty it at least 1-2x. Very happy.

I was so scared of having to put it inside me, it getting lost, getting some type of infection… safe to say none of that happened! I slip it in the morning and it’s as if I’m not even on my period, my only reminder are my cramps. DO NOT sleep with it in, I talk from personal experience… you can leak. It feels weird at first slipping it in and out but after a couple times of doing it the weirdness goes away and it gets easier. No leaks if inserted correctly. I can never go back to pads or tampons. This is now a need, not a want.

I dislike this one because the end of this cup always made me itch and two it ALWAYS leaked and mind you every time I will take out the cup there was hardly any blood in it. Please don’t use this one instead use the salt brand ones instead.

Smallest capacity compared, but also not fair since they didn't have the size "2" I needed. The silicone is flexible like the honeypot. If you are starting out this is the cup to get. I have noticed after trying a few, the firmer the silicone the better the seal from leaks. I'd suggest this for lighter flow users. This is one more expensive at the time so try to find it on sale

I tried the Honey Pot cup and it was difficult to fold because of how hard and inflexible it was. Then, I tried Cora. The Cora cup is the perfect size for someone new to using them and so easy to fold and comfortable. There is zero odor unlike with tampons. 10/10!

Comfortable, small, smooth to insert. I will never purchase a Tampon again in my life after using this. No nasty strings to deal with, really last 12 hours, no irritation, no drying. This thing make me wanna skip down the street and tell the word. TRY IT. So clean. I wish I had this growing up.

I’ve been entertaining the idea of using a menstrual cup for the longest time, but hadn’t taken the leap. I bought this cup on my last period & don’t see myself switching to another brand once I need to replace my current one! it was easy for me to use, I don’t feel it once it’s inserted, the instructions were clear, and my Target had it on sale, so that was a plus!

Not as good as Saalt

3 out of 5 stars

Maya - 3 years ago
My normal cup is the Saalt soft small. I forgot it and needed another in a pinch. My target only had the regular saalt cups and not the soft which is too firm for me. I saw the Cora cup and it said it was made from really soft silicone so I felt like it would be about the same as the saalt soft cups. First impression it's not horrible, but I don't necessarily like the finger indent on the side of the cup. The rim of the cup turned out to be really firm so it was uncomfortable for me to take out so it definitely has the firmness of the regular Saalt cup. I also have leaked a good bit which is super annoying. The size of the cup is fine, but Saalt definitely takes the prize with cups. This will be a back up emergency cup for now.

Doesn’t suction properly and I leak so much. It’s frustrating. I will go back to the saalt cup. That one works great for me.

I used to use the Lena cup. I could sometimes get it to work, but 95% of the time it leaked. The silicone is too firm to fold easily for my anatomy, and it wouldn’t conform to my body how it needed to. For years I looked at other models but in my mind $25 was a lot to have two cups that didn’t work. I bought this one on a whim, and it has worked every. single. time. I can feel when it suctions (if you know, you know) and know it won’t leak. Flexible but not floppy. I found my one and only.

Perfect cup for a first-time user. I’ve been nervous to make the switch from tampons, and after extensive research, I chose this cup based on a Wirecutter review labeling it the best choice for beginners. I’ve noticed less cramping and discomfort than with tampons, and as someone who hates pads, this is great for overnight wear. There was a little bit of a learning curve, but it is pretty straightforward to use once you figure it out. Two minor downsides: the capacity is on the low side (which I expected—I have a heavy flow), and because it’s clear, the cup discolors pretty quickly.

I wore this once in the house and bled out within hours. I tried to use it multiple times, but it just did not work with my anatomy. I also did not like how short the release "string" was. It made it harder to pull

I thought for a long time about buying a menstrual cup and even after I brought it it took me a long time to start using it. Well I'm now a true convert. I have heavy short periods and I've had no leakage at all. I found it easy to use and I use it along washable panty liners

This was my first menstrual cup, and I’ve since switched to Saalt, so this review is my perspective having tried two different brands since I didn’t know any different before trying another brand. I don’t have any loyalty to either brand, this is just my honest opinion. I had to replace my Cora cup after about 6 months because it had staining and I think I burned it a little but when boiling it, so I bought the Saalt because they had a deal where you got 50% off the cup wash with purchase. Figured I’d give it a try and now knowing the importance of cup wash, i was going to buy it anyway. I was never fully sold on my Cora because I dreaded cleaning it and it leaked. Everything I researched said you could use any gentle fragrance-free soap to clean your cup, so that’s what I did. Didn’t seem to work because it stained awfully. I tried wiping it with diluted isopropyl alcohol but that didn’t work either. Now, onto the leaking. With the Saalt, I ended up getting the next size up knowing my experience with leaking with the small-sized Cora. Never given birth, but I do have a regular-heavy flow. Maybe that was my issue with the Cora leaking? But one thing I do like better about the Saalt is the little air holes (required for suction and removal of the cup) are cut at an angle in the silicone rather than cut straight through the silicone like on the Cora. This makes the air holes easier to keep clean. It was really hard to keep the air holes clean on the Cora because debris could get stuck inside of them so easily, and since they’re so tiny they are so hard to clean out. Maybe if I’d had the cup wash with the Cora, this would’ve been easier? Not sure. I just feel like I didn’t love the Cora. Definitely WAY better than tampons, but I do like the Saalt better. So if you’re deciding between the two, spend the extra few dollars and go with the Saalt. I do think any cup is better than tampons, so if you’re not sure about making the switch, just try it. For me, it payed for itself after about 6 months when compared to how many tampons I had to go through.
