Q: Does this Alba self-tanner have a tint to it when applying so you can see where you have applied it? Is it a gel, lotion, or cream? I am looking for a cream self-tanner with a tint so that I can see where it's been applied (helps me apply more evenly)

This is the best self tanner I have EVER used, including when I got professional spray tans. I read a few reviews that said the color is barely noticeable, and because I'm on the paler side I decided to give it a try. I was about to head out to a friend's place in a dress and thought my legs looked really pale, so I put some on my legs like I would body lotion, saving my knees for last and added some body lotion to my hands while working it into my knees. Washed my hands immediately after. When I got home about 4 hours later and changed clothes, I noticed the perfect results. Not one streak, looked like my legs got a nice, natural tan while we were out! It didn't smell bad either, at all, and I forgot I had it one while I was out.

I really like this, probably 4.5 stars. I'm a fair skinned White person and it's one of the only self tanners I've tried that looks natural on me. If you're looking for a deep tan - this isn't the product for you. It's VERY SUBTLE, more like a light, non-streaky glow that can build with multiple applications. I find it way easier to apply than foam self tanners and don't need to use a mitt (I just wash my hands afterwards). I don't *love* the scent, it's a little banana-y to me, but it's not bad at all, and it's definitely not that awful self tanner stink. It makes my dry skin really smooth and hydrated. I don't usually use self tanner except for occasional events but now this is part of my routine. I feel less self conscious about my pale, early summer skin and am back to buy a second bottle.

This is definitely the best fake tanner I’ve used and I have used many including the higher end ones like coco and eve etc. The smell is light and fades quickly, it’s cruelty free which is a requirement for me and the results are the most natural I’ve ever had, no orange, no streaks. Like a natural golden tan after a day at the beach, it doesn’t transfer or get sticky and a little goes a long way. I used a buffing mitten to apply and put clothes on 15-20 minutes after. It also made my skin feel so soft. I will be buying more of this. Great job Alba!

As a fair skinned person, this gave me a very light sun kissed look. It smells great and does not leave streak or give you that stained look like most sunless tanning lotions do.

This stuff goes on just like lotion, it’s white and as you rub it in it’s clear. 3 hours later it’s noticeable! Do a second application for a deeper tan. It does have some of the unpleasant smell most sunless tanners have but I just wait 3 hours and shower. Smell is gone and color stays!

Therefore, my skin blinds everybody each spring!! I got this to try giving myself a little bit of color before going to a March wedding and it did the job. I had a slight orange tint which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but I felt a little more confident with that splash of color.

I decided to give this Alba Botanica sunless tanning lotion a try and I am so glad that I did. It has a pleasant scent, it applies smooth and evenly. And most important it provides my very fair and ginger skin with a nice glowing tan.

The directions are very easy to understand and the tube is the perfect size for your hand. It has a nice smell and it made my skin very smooth. It dried pretty fast, didn't stain my hands, and the color was very pretty. On me it lasted for a pretty long time and it didn't spot when I started to fade.

Some other products i have used in the past have a weird smell that won’t go away for days. This one didn’t do that! I wasn’t left streaky either. My hubby even told me how nice my tan looked! It blended beautifully and quickly absorbed, no streaks or crease marks. Gave me a very nice natural looking tan. Scent was typical of most sunscreen products.

It is super easy to use, just apply evenly to clean skin, and allow about 15 minute to dry. If you would like a darker color, wait at least 3 hours and reapply. Does not streak, and has a pleasant scent. Also make sure to wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly when you are done applying. I really like how it gives you a nice tan without being in the sun. I would definitely recommend to everyone!!

Simply just put some on your plans, rub your hands and start rubbing all over your body avoiding your eyes! You do not need to lay in the sun. Just sit back and watch the magic happen. This product is not sunscreen and does not protect against the sun. For a darker tone, simply just reapply in 3 to 4 hours. It is non streaking for minks that forms quickly for a natural looking tan. It may get on your clothes as well. For best results, avoid swimming, bathing and or exercising. It is a cream based lotion, smells really great. I love the results of it & will continue to buy the product. I highly recommend this product.
