Q: Help! The tiny screws at the bottom are impossible to unscrew, and that it the only way to get into the battery compartment. How am I supposed to get the batteries into the candle?

A: Thank you! We are using a precision screwdriver set, unfortunately, but the screws are too tight, and it's just stripping the screw *and* the screwdriver.

The screw on the bottom of the candle is made of such cheap metal, it is stripped before I could even use it. Returned promptly for my money back.

AA batteries are convenient BUT tiny screw is redundant and hard to remove. I broke one of my candles while trying to remove the tiny screw for the battery cover. The second candle looks great but I had to use pliers to remove the screw.

Horrible!! If you can even open it….the coloring is different for each candle. I’ve tried multiple brands of batteries to see if the strength or newness changes the coloring. The packaging requires you to open with a screw which is almost impossible to take out due to it only having threads half way through. Then in the process, the wax will potentially get messed up or fall off. Do not recommend. Save your money!

Anyone who likes this product will hate it as soon as they need to replace the battery. You need a very precise screwdriver to fit the screw, which I have. Still can't remove it. Even tried penetrating oil. Screw metal is too soft and strips. LIsten to all the reviews about this!!

The candle has a beautiful glow, but I won't be purchasing a second because of that ridiculous tiny screw in the bottom. Is this for child safety? It's impossible to remove with any normal screwdriver that a regular person might have on hand and a tool should be included if they insist on this poor feature. I had to get my husband to remove it and of course the wax has some marks in it. No need for the unnesessary screw.

The packaging itself is terrible! Once you finally get the candle out there is an unnecessary screw holding the battery compartment closed. The screw is made of the softest metal and strips as soon as you try to remove. Couldn’t get the screw out and the candle is useless and I can’t return.

There should be a disclaimer saying you’ll need the world’s tiniest screwdriver to access the battery compartment. This is after spending an entire 10 minutes getting to the candle itself due to the ridiculous packaging around it.

The package is absolutely horrible to open and the screw is made of soft metal so when I attempted to unscrew it to put batteries in it the screw stripped and now it’s completely unusable and not returnable. Really disappointed.

The packaging was very difficult to open, and if that wasn’t enough, you will need a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Not just any screwdriver will work- a very small one. I still have yet to get it open to put the batteries in. I would not recommend this candle. Even my small one won’t fit the opening.

The excessive plastic packaging takes forever to get off and makes it more likely you'll damage the soft exterior it's meant to protect. The battery compartment is inexplicably screwed in, and requires a watch or eyeglass repair kit sized screwdriver to remove. The screws are also really dug in and it's easy to strip the head. Incredibly stupid packaging design. Avoid these.

The 1st one - We tried to open the battery door and the whole bottom came out of the candle. The candle itself also cracked in half. The 2nd one - When we opened the battery door, the bottom stayed where it was supposed to be, but the candle still cracked halfway up in 2 spots.

I bought both this size and the 4x3 size in the exact same candle and for some reason this one casts off a pink light? This does not match the pictures of the product at all and does not match the color that the smaller candle gives off (a yellow orange). What’s even more frustrating is I ordered these online and they are only returnable in store and my closest store is an hour away. I am very frustrated and disappointed with this product.
