Q: how thick are the brackets? I've had issues with over the door items in the past that are thick and therefore the door wouldn't close.

    Life saver

    This thing is amazing! I have 19 pairs of shoes in there right now. Almost all of my (female, size 6.5) pairs fit in one side, while my husband (male, size 10) needs most pairs to be separated. Even his sandals and slip-on vans will fit in one sleeve. Such a great solution for so many shoes, and hides so nicely behind my closet door.

    I was pleased that the over-the-door shoe organizer worked well. I found it was best for sandals and low profile shoes. Shoes like my sneakers did not fit so easily.. however it got allowed me to get the extra shoes that didn’t have a place to be off the floor - and it looks good.

    Badly designed, cannot close door when hung on door jamb side

    This does not fit on any of my closet doors, unless it hangs on the outside of the closet in the hall. It won’t go inside a door because the top shoe compartment sits high on the hooks and flush with the door. Since it’s mounted so high, the stiff corners of the fabric run into the door jamb, and prevent the door from closing. It’s a poorly designed product, as this only works on the side of a door without the jamb. If they had just made the hooks longer so it gave clearance to close the door this would have been great. Unfortunately I also can’t return it as I already tossed the packaging :(
