Q: Is this polyresin (plastic) or ceramic (a fired clay)? Is it a ceramic "look" polyresin? Some reviewers didn't seem to question whether it was ceramic with comments like "no chips".

Not sure what species of "wood" this is supposed to be made from, but it feels like cheap molded plastic. Lamp is very lightweight, poorly constructed, and not a fixture I would have purchased had I seen it first in person.
