Q: How do you recommend cleaning the plastic ring and other part on the lid? They smell like garlic and I have used soap, vinegar and baking soda and they still smell. Any suggestions would be helpful.

A: To keep contents hot/cold longer in vacuum insulated products, preheat product by filling with hot water or prechill with cold water for 5-10 minutes just prior to use. To keep hot or cold for longer, please fill food jar completely up to capacity with really hot or cold starting temperatures, and refrain from constantly opening and closing the lid.

Works so well! Make sure you follow the instructions by preheating with hot water ~10mins before putting in the actual food you are wanting to store. I usually leave for work around 7 and my soup is still piping hot around noon! Make sure you stir once you open it up to distribute the heat.
