Cuts fine but the battery doesn't hold a charge for very long. Also, you have to let the battery cool off before it will charge .

Very nice one handed recip saw, I mainly purchased this for some light pruning of some trees and it works perfectly for that.

I ended up returning it because it didn't have enough torque for what I needed. I might pick up the 20v and see if it does better

This is a spunky battery operated saw for a very reasonable price. I bought it specifically to take a 12" long blade to use to scratch up and distress exposed PT 2x12s for dressing up my block foundation wall. Cheaper than using cultured stone or native rock. And faster. The Skil Sawzall does a good job. Or rather, allows me to do a good job. Nice not to have to drag a power cord around while doing the work. The ability to change blades just using your own human hands with no tools greatly simplifies use. Seems to be well engineered. Good for Skil.

I've had other reciporcating saws and this is by far my favorite. The redesign of the handle is ergonomic and easy to hold. I like that it is light but sturdy, it feels solid and works well. I've used it a few times now and the saw blades are easy to change out and stay in place. I was worried 12 volts wouldn't be that powerful, but the saw works fine. I had a tree fall down that I used the saw to cut up into smaller pieces. The battery power lasted a little short of what I hoped, but it was sufficient for what I needed. Ultimately it really only matters if the saw is able to cut and do what is asked, and this is where the saw really shines. It's size and weight make it is easy to use and hold up high as it cuts. A nice addition to the 12 volt family. I like Skil products and highly recommend them.

I like the saw because I can handle it, it is not too heavy. the kit came with its recharging station and battery. The price was a great deal for what I got and it does well when sawing tree branches.

Great for construction wrecking, quick cuts to tough shrubs, rough cut lumber, etc.

For the cost this is by far the best option.

I love mine!! I use it on the job all the time and it really puts in work! It is a great tool to have! It's easy to change blades as well! Skil is the best and has the best tools in my opinion! I love everything they offer and trust what they offer! I recommend to everyone.

Absolutely versital easy to use and great for a variety of tasks. The battery life is great also.
