Q: DO THESE SMEAR, PENS LEAK, ARE THEY QUICK DRYING?? I WISH, THEY WOULD SHOW A PICTURE OF THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEDIUM, FINE & TO HEAVY WRITING ABILITY. THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PICK A PEN THAT IS 05.

A: I disagree. I don't think they dry that fast and I had my child's permission slip smear a minute after I filled it out.

Per Unibal “entrenches the gel ink deep into the paper, preventing document alteration.” Usually “gel” pens are good choice for security - but this pen doesn’t make that statement and it’s really important.

I was not able to use them myself due to the pens grips containing latex, which I have a severe allergic reaction to. I gave them to my dad, who said he loved them,. He loved how smooth they wrote and were very comfortable in the hand.

TERRIBLE. Truly a nightmare to write with! I’ve never once in my life even thought to write a review of pens, but these are so bad that I had to take time out of my day to warn others. They look nice, and the ink is great- WHEN IT FLOWS. These pens skip like crazy! I’ll finally get it working and think I’ve moved past it- that I’ve rotated the ballpoint and fixed the issue. But it’s never fixed. The ink hardly comes out. Half of every word I write with these pens has zero ink. It’s insane. And it’s every pen in the pack. They are all the same. If you want a good comparison, I commonly write with a dip pen (you know- circa 1800. The metal nib, dip it in an ink well kind?) and a 225 year old dip pen writes more smoothly and cohesively than these pens. Don’t waste your money.

People would often steal them from me from how good they are. I love the color of the packaging. I always stick by sharpie pens.

I randomly got these at work a few years ago & they are the only pen I use anymore. I like the smoothness, they rarely smear (certain surfaces need a few seconds extra to dry), and I even get compliments from customers about how nicely they write.

Working as a language teacher, I often test stationery products to improve writing and studying experience. Sharpie Is a quoted brand for the quality of it's markers, but I have never used this gel pens before. Very quick in drying - so important in note-taking! It doesn't smear, though the ink it's not always so fluent as I expect from a top gel pen; have to add that the 0.7 tip grab well the paper and it's perfect also for lining details in drawings and lettering. So it's a 8 out of 10, it could get even better after using the pen a little longer. I tried the black ink, I'll be curious to use different colours.
