Q: Do they need to be washed before using? Can they be used with down pillows? What do you mean by “down proof”?

A: Hi TKY, AllerEase does not currently have a pillow cover that combines Waterproof and Bedbug protection. Our Maximum and Ultimate Pillow Protectors are Bedbug bite proof but will not prevent liquids from getting onto your pillow. Thank you for your question.

Q: Is this a piece of fabric, or is it the thin plastic bonded to papery plastic stuff (papery plastic stuff like a reusable shopping bag would be made of)? Or could you tell me the RN number from the tag, so I can look up materials?

Q: Does this cover keep the contents totally dry? I am looking for a product I can use when Soaking to relieve muscle tension in my neck. The pillow would be partially to totally submerged in water.

So I primarily grabbed these for him, to help with his seasonal allergies (might as well keep all the allergens at bay) and then the issue of head sweatiness being a problem, this way he doesn't soak the pillow too. So far so good, I did try pouring a little water on it first, and they are waterproof, so excellent quality.

With this case the germs stop at the protective case. You can wash it and keep going. Making you feel safe and comfortable.

It is cool to the touch, doesn’t get too warm while sleeping and contains all of the feathers and down that try to escape the pillow. The only negative I can say is that it is a bit slippery, as the pillow case tends to slide off a bit.
