Q: Does the pasta sauce comes with it

submitted by Jisooo - 5 years ago
  • A: No, there’s no sauce with it. It’s a very nice low carb noodle substitute. There’s some water in the bag and you have to drain and rinse it before you heat it. We had it with our favorite jarred pasta sauce a couple of times. Another time we added it to hot broth with some left over cooked veg and made ramen type soup.

    submitted byStormy W - 5 years ago
  • A: No, it's packed with water. You need to drain before use. After draining, add to your favorite pasta sauce or soup.

Q: Where is it made? Is it made in China?

submitted by Mary - 6 months ago
  • A: Product is made in Korea.

It smells fishy and nasty when u open it but once u rinse it a few times it’s gone. Very plain but I like that because it lets me add whatever sauce/seasoning I want.

Fart party

I like these a lot. They are rubberized and fishy if you don’t rinse. Cook them in a frying pan before using them with a little olive oil. They do make me have gross farts like another comment said. Like the worst smelling fart of my life. But as a female in a house full of males it’s the only way i can get vengeance.

Great Low Carb Option

The texture and ability of these noodle to take on flavors is much better than the Miracle Noodles brand. I would suggest letting them cook with the "flavorful" portion of your dish to allow them some time to absorb the flavors of any sauces/seasonings. Very happy I found this brand and that my Target carries them as I keep them on hand for quick "spaghetti" type dinners on days when I'm too tired to cook a more complicated meal.

Good Keto Substitute

Leslie - 6 months ago, Verified purchaser
I rinsed them well and then boiled them like they suggest to do on the package and they were really good. Pretty satisfying for a keto substitute. I added mine to some bone broth and it was kind of like ramen noodles. Yes, they are a bit more rubbery than regular noodles, but definitely weren't rubber band-like. Maybe the fact that I boiled them helped with that.

Um, it LOOKS like spaghetti... that's about it

I admit, I was excited to try this. Right out of the package, it LOOKS LIKE PASTA! Yay! I covered it with my homemade sauce, added fresh parm and took a bite. It literally has the texture of rubber bands. I literally could not eat it. There's no taste (thankfully), but just because it LOOKS like spaghetti doesn't mean it's anywhere near the same experience. I'll stick to the real stuff or zucchini noodles.

Weird texture and gave me the bubble guts. I eat a healthy amount of fiber and these noodles didn’t sit well with me. Those farts were offensive! I didn’t know much about these prior to buying 2 of them. I rinsed it in vinegar and lime because wow! That smell was rude. I’ll be throwing away the other package and sticking to the pasta I know. I eat a lot of veggies throughout the day so it’s not a fiber issue for me. I didn’t know about then not breaking down either. I’ll be taking activated charcoal and magnesium before bed to help my tummy get rid of it all. It had potential

This tasted way better than expected - although I do like chewy textures and am used to eating various textures, I was just happy these weren't soggy textured! Just the opposite actually. I did not notice the smell much, I rinsed under cold water once and didn't notice much of a smell (and I am very sensitive to smells), although I read that if you rinse it and then pour boiling water on it, it will get rid of the smell!

Great Noodle!

These were better than I was expecting after reading reviews about them. They do smell a bit - like squid or something. Definitely rinse them well (a few times in a strainer) to help with the slime and smell and then also let them marinate in your sauce for a bit so they take on the flavor. They have a texture more like rice/vermicelli noodles, they’ve got a firmer bounce than typical pasta. I think they’re great. Some people do say that they have some stomach cramps/GI issues after eating them, so if you’re eating them for the first time it might be wise to not have a large portion. This was first time trying them so if I’m allowed to update the review I will if I encounter issues.

I love the texture of these noodles, ive tried bigger brands like skinny and even other smaller brands, but nothing beats the pasta zero brand!! Yes it has a slightly fishy smell, but I have discovered that konjac noodles with a fishy smell dont give you digestion issues, plus the smell doesnt last after about 3 rinses. Very tasty, and doesnt give you stomach aches after eating like other brands do. The texture isnt harsh either and goes good in soups or in any pasta sauce!

Amazing. 10 carbs and 45 calories for the ENTIRE pack. I will never go back to regular pasta. Make sure you rinse for about a minute and mix around in a strainer as you're rinsing. I boil it like I would pasta and serve with sauce and turkey meatballs. A GREAT alternative to pasta for people watching their calories.

Vegan keto cheezy ramen

5 out of 5 stars
Thumbs up graphic, would recommend
Jazzy - 1 year ago
It's hard enough being vegan but forget about going keto. But I'm determined to lose weight so I thought I'd give these a go. I only bought one to see if I'd like it and now I'll definitely be going back for more. I'm glad I didn't see the reviews beforehand because that might have deterred me. I took a quick peak at the ingredients, and seeing that they were made out of konjac root, I had an idea of what to expect as I'm very familiar with it. It is indeed a very unique texture, so be prepared for that. I happen to love it. What I did not expect was the smell, even after reading the package instructions. It did NOT smell earthy as described, rather a fishy smell as another reviewer commented. Oddly enough, I'm only familiar with konjac root because it's used to make a vegan shrimp alternative, and the texture and flavor for those are incredible. I always loved shrimp, and that's about as close as you could ever get to the real thing. I digress. After taking notes of them smell, I VERY thoroughly rinsed them. I then boiled them and drained, mixed in vegan butter, cashew cheese and some other vegan cheese. I grew up poor and one of my forever favorite comfort foods we often ate was cheesy ramen. This was pretty close to that. I'm super grateful to have a vegan and keto friendly swap for noodles. The bite of the noodles was again, very unique. I really enjoyed it, but I could see how it's not for everyone. Definitely for the adventurous, and I wouldn't recommend for a swap out for any kind of dish (like spaghetti with tomato sauce I think wouldn't really work here). BTW, there was zero smell after the thorough rinse and boil just in case anyone was concerned about that.

These were actually worse than I thought, and I prepared myself after the reviews. Upon first sniff, I was flabbergasted that the smell was like dead fish. I pushed on. Washed thoroughly, but the smell lingered a little, though not as fishy. The taste with my sauce was nothing, but the texture was like kelp or squid. Paired with the smell of dead fish, I couldn't get it down.
