Gives Rash for Sensitive Skin

It consistently gives me a rash on my cheeks and around my mouth no matter where I apply it on my face or how little I apply. I would 100% not recommend this for people with sensitive skin, I would opt for a lighter sunscreen. Super disappointed because I love this brand’s lotion.

As someone who uses sun screen on a daily basis I was excited to see that La Roche Posay had released a dry to touch sun screen. I was a bit disappointed to find that it created a film like layer on my skin after a hour of drying. I enjoy outdoor activities that cause perspiration, I was a bit dissatisfied by the amount of reapplication that was needed.
1 reply from La Roche-Posay Product Expert team - 3 months ago
Hello Patmjr! Thanks for your feedback on our Anthelios Clear Skin Dry Touch Sunscreen. We understand your concerns about the film-like feeling and the need for frequent reapplication. While the "dry touch" aims to minimize shine, we recognize it may not suit everyone. Reapplying sunscreen every two hours, especially after sweating, is crucial for optimal protection. We encourage you to explore our other Anthelios sunscreen options to find one that better suits your needs. We appreciate your input and will share it with our product development team.

I have oily skin. This dried out my skin, leaves a white cast (I have dark brown skin so it was very noticeable), and it did pill even when letting my other face product dry down completely.

This sunscreen is a game-changer for oily and combination skin! The dry touch formula leaves a matte finish without any greasy residue. It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, and works great under makeup. Plus, it offers excellent sun protection without clogging pores. Highly recommend for anyone seeking effective, non-greasy SPF!

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. This is by far the best sunscreen for my face that I have ever used. I have oily acne prone and somewhat sensitive skin so I think that says a lot. It keeps my face matte most of the day and protects my face from the sun very well. The only thing I do think they could improve on is the white pilling you get if you rub in the sunscreen too much. Over time I’ve learned how to avoid that but sometimes it does happen and it’s a little annoying to get off . Besides that I believe it’s a great product.
Wonderful product!

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I just need people to know that this product is NOT worth the money. It pills horribly—seriously, I have no idea how this product even passed testing and was released to the public. No matter if I put it on over my other skincare products or on a completely bare face, it pills into little strings and essentially rolls off my face. The white cast is also horrific. My skin is quite pale and it still leaves a cast on me—now imagine this on someone with darker skin! Finally, I got this sunscreen because it’s supposed to be good for people with oily skin, but I find the formula way too thick and greasy feeling on my skin. I wish I had returned it when I got the chance, but I decided to give it some time. Really regret this purchase. I’ll be sticking to Korean chemical sunscreens in the future.

Left a rash on my cheeks and entire face feels itchy. I don't typically have sensitive skin, quite the contrary I've always had good skin so I don't see how this could possibly be made for sensitive skin.

This wasn't that great. I have combination to oily skin and it pil off my skin while I was doing much makeup. It dried down so quickly, that you don't get that much time to rub it on the skin. Obviously it's for people who have very oilyskin or acne skin. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone else. And the alcohol, it smells very strong in this product.

I typically love this brand, but that was not the case with this product. I gave it an honest chance and used it for a few weeks with varying amounts/techniques to try to make myself like it and that never happened. This sunscreen looks very streaky when you apply it and it pills SO bad when you try to rub it in to get rid of the streaks. Because of this, it does not wear well under make up (or even without make up). I feel like it can’t possibly be effective as sunscreen due to how bad it pills when you try to blend because it seems like it takes most of it off. I bought this on a whim because it was spf 60 and didn’t check the reviews first and boy do I regret it because it is not cheap.

One of my favorite chemicql sunscreen. It is broad spectrum and higher on SPF. It has thick texture but still feels very light weight on skin and gets absorbed into skin no time and leaves no white cast. That being said i have only used this in winter, so it’s sticky formula works great on dry skin but for summer it might be different given skin tent to get oily in summer. But for people out there with dry skin, totally recommend it. Go for it.

I love this product! My skin stays shine-free even at the end of the day, and I don't get breakouts anymore. The only thing I don't like is that I have to remove it from my eyebrows after applying it. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I think there's a specific technique to using this product. I clean and dry my face, apply the sunscreen, wash my hands, and then apply a moisturizer. If I don't wash my hands before putting on the moisturizer, the sunscreen will pill up—no idea why. Since it's a chemical sunscreen, you can apply it before the moisturizer.
