Q: Is this in a glass jar, or a plastic jar?

A: Even though the peanut butter is good, I can't buy it anymore because it's glass. I've dropped a jar twice and it shatters everywhere. Seems easy for that to happen to a child.

A: We appreciate your interest in our products. Our Creamy Dark Roasted Peanut Butter does not have an internal foil safety seal. There is a plastic safety seal band on the outside of the lid. Hope this helps!

Q: Did Santa Cruz change the safety seal on their peanut butter? The plastic seal on the lid used to be perforated. I just bought 2 jars and the seal is different. Hard to remove.

My favorite peanut butter, there is a no stir option but I like mine natural. It does separate as do ALL natural peanut butters, but I stir it good with a fork the keep refrigerated so it doesn’t separate. I mostly use it in my smoothie but it’s great on its own or in a pb&j as well

This is my fave PB. It’s so flavorful and does NOT contain palm oil. Easy to stir the oil in. No other PB that I’ve found compares to this one, and they no money carry it at our local grocery store. Target has a great price and free shipping for me as long as I order enough at one time…. But we go through it because we are a PBJ-loving family. I usually order 6 canisters at a time and at least one will break during shipping. Target is always good about immediately refunding or replacing.

After discovering this PB from a blogger that referenced it, ive eaten a handful of these jars already. Thats to say that i used to dislike PB, let alone ever finish one jar of PB in itself. Its the only PB ill eat now. Texture & consistency is perfect. It lathers easily on a slice of bread unlike others. Flavor is just the right amount of sweet with salty (not too overpowering of either). If youre into health foods, this might be up your alley with the taste and low sugar. If your into very sweet, this is not for you. Shelf-life is short however (few weeks) so if you plan to let it sit for a while, buy another product.

I got three jars of peanut butter. Today is December 14 and they all expire on March 4th! That should’ve been told to me when I placed this order online there’s no way I can use up three jars of peanut butter that quick

To be fair, the taste was fine. Also, I did realize when I bought it that stirring would be required. But holy cow! There was oil on the top, and then solid peanut freakin’ cement underneath! If you have arthritis, or like me, a recent rotator cuff injury to your dominant arm, stirring this stuff will be challenging at the very least. I recommend removing the lid, and then putting the jar in the microwave for 30 seconds. That will help a little bit. As I said, the taste was fine, but not worth the cost and literal physical pain.

Anybody that knows me will tell you my very favorite food is peanut butter. Anytime anybody gives me a gift basket they make sure to include a jar of peanut butter. I got a basket with the light roasted Santa Cruz peanut butter. I am totally hooked. This is by far my favorite! The consistency and taste are perfect! I like that it doesn't need to be refrigerated because it stays softer. Hands down a great product! I prefer crunchy!

I like the peanut butter, but hate that they put palm oil in this peanut butter. I realize they use this for it to be homogeneous. Just leave peanut oil in and stir and put in fridge. Palm oil is environmentally awful and supposedly unhealthy.

We love the Santa Cruz dark roasted chunky peanut butter! Honestly, sometimes we love it too much! It makes a delicious sandwich, we love to eat it on a banana, with carrots, but my favorite is on a spoon! It makes a healthy and satisfying meal or snack. I love the simple organic ingredients, with just the right amount of salt, giving it a fresh peanut taste, soooo good!!! I also appreciate that it is in glass jars instead of plastic. We find many uses for empty jars! Can’t say enough - if looking for quality, delicious peanut butter you have found it. Get it !
