A: Because of the formulation, without common chemical irritants, this allows it to work with other products well. This can be used as both a moisturizer and sun protection, and can also be used with another moisturizer.

A: While they are both formulated without common chemical irritants and are also both non-comedogenic, they are different products. Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer is formulated with hyaluronic acid and ceramides to provide a rich, yet light-weight moisturizer. Vanicream Facial Moisturizer with SPF is formulated with ceramides and non-nano zinc oxide to provide broad-spectrum SPF protection of 30. The Facial Moisturizer with SPF does not contain Hyaluronic Acid.

I’m not sure why people are having such a hard time rubbing this product into their skin. Compared to other mineral sunblocks I’ve used, this blends easily and leaves no greasy or other film on skin. Makeup goes on as it would over any moisturizer. No breakouts or clogged pores make this a super effective and non-irritating mineral sunscreen.

For being a mineral sunscreen this blends in quite nicely. I use this first and then use a tinted sunscreen over it. No weird smells or pilling with the tinted sunscreen on top. My only complaint is that I wish this was 40 or 50 SPF.

Great product! Some people are saying alot of negative things. But when I decided to buy it and used it , it works perfectly . Blends in pretty well, texture is nice and no smell. Also it doesn’t have those toxic ingredients others have.

This is a great facial moisturizer with SPF. It's moisturizing enough for dry skin, with the added protection of sunscreen. It's on the thicker side, so may not work for non-dry skin. It doesn't leave a white cast and doesn't flake or roll off dry skin, which I found with most moisturizers w/spf. Makeup goes over it well. If you have dry skin and have trouble with other spf moisturizers, give tlhis a try. I hope they never discontinue this.

I'm 45, with acne prone, sensitive, combo skin with big pores. (terrible, right?) Always used chemical sunscreens, but wanted to switch to mineral. I'm glad I got samples of this product from my dermatologist. I love it. Yes, it looks a bit oily right after application, but wait for 10 minutes. Oiliness becomes subtle and give you a hint of healthy glow. I stopped using powder since I've switched to this SPF moisturizer. Simple, minimal ingredients. Please don't stop making it.

I did not like how thick this felt. It’s not lightweight at all and I would not reapply it for that reason. I have sensitive, acne-prone combination skin and live in a humid climate. My skin felt so oily and dirty by the end of the day.

I love this brand and was excited to try the sunscreen, sadly it’s not as wonderful as I had hoped. Doesn’t leave a white cast, but doesn’t fully absorb and will leave your hair constantly sticking to your face on top of the super shiny look. I did appreciate that it had no smell, but that’s not enough to outweigh the other issues. Pros: No smell, doesn’t burn eyes Cons: Doesn’t fully absorb, leaves skin shiny and tacky.

this is genuinely the easiest to blend in mineral sunscreen i’ve tried it almost blended in as well as a chemical, and left no irritation or redness on my face at allll. i’ve tried so many sunscreens i have hated but im so happy about this one !!

I love how creamy and moisturizing it feels, but it leaves a very shiny white cast. It's only wearable if I blot my face with tissue after putting it on, but then I wonder how much sun protection I'm getting after that. I'd recommend it if you're desperately looking for a sensitive skin friendly affordable mineral sunscreen that's not so drying, but it's not perfect.

I gave this a try because I love Vanicream’s regular face moisturizer without SPF so I had high hopes. I am PALE like fair porcelain foundation pale & this left a very obvious white cast on my face so I can only imagine for anyone with darker skin tones. Also it left my face so greasy. I will keep it as a backup SPF but will not purchase again and don’t recommend!

Does not leave a white cast if you finish rubbing it in. I am not super pale, but have a lighter skin tone. Never leaves my skin oily (I have combo skin) and makeup looks nice on top. Very affordable. If you have combo skin this will probably work well for you. Not every product works for every skin type but this works for me.

This product did not work for me. It went on really thick and greasy and did not play well with my makeup either. I usually use a Roc moisturizer with spf that sits nicely under my foundation but for some reason I wanted to try something new and this was not it. It made my makeup look horrifying.
