Q: Why does it state under specifications that this is made in USA when it is actually made in Korea?
A: The Niacinamide Serum available at Target is manufactured in South Korea. The sole Good Molecules product at Target that is manufactured in the US is the Good Molecules Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 - 50ml. Q: I don't have pore or acne problems but I was told niacinamide is better than hydroquinone for age/sun spots. Will this work for them? It's a higher % than most which is better. Haven't read any review
A: This is a great question and I'm more than happy to help provide some clarity! Hydroquinone, as an ingredient in skincare, is what most people would consider the 'gold-standard' skin lightener. However, it does carry a lot of controversy due to its side effects, that include irritation, stinging, contact dermatitis, and skin discoloration. Niacinamide on the other hand, is not a skin lightener but instead would be considered an overall skin brightener. Regular use of Niacinamide can help brighten the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation, as well as excessive oil production in the skin, redness, blotchiness, and sensitivity brought on by a poorly functioning skin barrier.

Q: Can this be used to pull out enlarged, deep, embedded pimples
A: Thanks for reaching out with your product question! The Niacinamide Serum promotes a smooth, even skin tone and minimizes the appearance of pores by drawing out dirt, oil, and impurities within the skin's surface. With time and continued use, Niacinamide may help to reduce the appearance of deep, embedded acne in the skin as the ingredient helps to balance oil production by increasing water retention in the skin. Hydrated skin is less prone to the type of overproduction of oil that can lead to acne breakouts. Niacinamide also has anti-inflammatory properties that can calm redness and breakouts.

Q: Will this product make my skin sticky or smooth?
A: Thanks for your question. When applying any serums onto the skin, if too much product is applied, you will in fact feel a bit of a tacky or sticky feel. Please be sure to only apply a few drops of the serum and gently pat it onto the skin. Once applied, this should be fully absorbed into the skin without any residual tacky or sticky feel.

Q: Does this help with acne spots???
A: Niacinamide can in fact be used to brighten, and even the tone, which in turn can help make acne spots less visible over time. Aside from the Niacinamide Serum, I would highly recommend looking into the Discoloration Correcting Serum. This product is formulated to specifically target dark marks and hyperpigmentation that can be caused from acne scars, age spots, and sun damage.
