A: Hello Rfierro Protection plans cannot be transferred from one item to another. That’s because each SquareTrade Protection Plan is designed for the specific item it protects. I purchased two rugs with warranties but the warranty is for mechanical and electrical. The rug is coming apart and it is not covered. This was a waste of money!

Absolute garbage, we bought a protection plan that highlights accidental from drops/spills/accident. When claiming they said this item isn’t covered under what I’ve mentioned. Absolute trash. Deceiving on both this company and Target.

I am returning the piece of furniture I bought this protection plan for because the leg hardware was broken when I received it and I was told I can’t get a refund on the protection plan even though I am not keeping the broken storage bench. That is ridiculous and I am angry and will never opt for protection again from Target. This doesn’t even seem legal!!

Don’t waste your money. Normal wear and tear on an area rug does not include and discoloration from everyday use of being walked on everyday.
