Q: Does this plan only cover video game HARDWARE or the actual video games themselves? I bought a game today, and they sold me this but no where on the square trade site does it say it covers the actual video games.

You will receive 100% parts and labor coverage up to the original price of the item. We will cover you up to the full price you paid for the item, excluding tax. Each time you file a claim and we repair your item, the total value of the coverage is reduced by the cost of the repair. Coverage lasts for the term of your Protection Plan or until the coverage amount (Item purchase price) of your plan is used up. The issues that we do not cover include misuse, loss or theft, software issues, and any cosmetic damage that does not affect the operation of a device. Targets CS was the reason my protection plan wasn't honored even with receipts. Today was 7 months into a 2yr protection plan and I was offered my $6 back that I paid for the protection plan but not offered a replacement PS5 controller. Might not be Allstate but definitely don't buy it a Target.

SCAM!! Buyer beware. Allstate coverage is a scam. If you have a minor issue with your product that you can live with, do not turn it in. The product will be returned in a less than condition. They try to say - super easy, don’t worry, great coverage. I sent my watch for repare for a small crack. It was returned with an unresponsive Digital Crown and an unresponsive Allstate team.

No refund or transfers I return a remote control and because stop working after 20 days and I bought a new one. At the store no one couldn't explain if they will transfers the insurance I already paid with the first remote and they reconoce to buy a new one for the new remote. And question me why I did not use the insurance. Well it was on the 30 days Target guarantee if I call them they will send me to the store, all state will either say you have store guarantee or "manufacturer" they badly take claims and if they do takes time and is a process. A xbox remote control for my teen should be a big deal just have in-house at target "insurance" knowledgeable people specifically they are selling it for her products. I had a headache just trying to figure this out after trying to get help from 4 different employees. Remote was 20 dls more expensive they did not honored prior price, plus another 9dls of the new insurance. Paid 25 dls more for the same product 20 days later I feel scammed

Doesn't Give Clear Information for Apply to get a Replacement after the 90 Day in store warranty return time is up. I just googled a phone number and found that these are done thru squaretrade which was bought out by All State. You need to call this number and they then email you the link to apply for the warranty replacement. 1-877-927-7268 I am going to wait out the email response and hope that I get somewhere and do actually get a Replacement in a timely manner. When I went into the store to inquire about it, they were absolutely unsure how this even worked other than to tell me that I had to contact All State which is actually being handled thru squaretrade. The lady on the other end did assure me, after I inquired, that they do indeed handle the claims. You will need to select #7 for other, the gaming type claims as these are not on the menu option.

I definitely recommend Square Trade protection because it really protected my purchase, a Shark Steam Iron. It failed me mechanically after 1 year and 9 months of use. It just was malfunctioning. After submitting a claim with Square Trade, I was reimbursed for most of the cost of the Iron. I am very happy to have bought the protection plan for just $5.00. Now I can replace my Iron with a better version. Thank You Square Trade!
