A: My daughter owns this in another color and has used it on multiple flights.

A: I own this in black and have no problems flying with it. In fact it's my only piece of luggage I use domestically.

A: Personal items typically can't exceed 18"x14"x8", so this would be too big.

A: I just used this to travel across the country for the holidays. I way over packed with clothes and was able to put two! pairs of shoes in between the clamshell (center) section and zip it up no problem. So, the shoes weren't in any interior or exterior pocket, just in between the two halves of the backpack(not where things are designed to be put) and it zipped up fine. I could've probably gotten at least one pair of size 15's, maybe two if I'd packed fewer clothes. This BP is great. Only complaint is that i wished it stood up without falling over when not full (aka better structural stiffness)

A: I stored two pairs of shoes in the clamshell center (not in a pocket) and it zipped up fine while way overstuffed with clothes and laptop gear. Could probably fit size 15 or 16 no problem.
