Q: Can I use this on the stoptop on high heat? For example boiling water?

A: To the Target person who clearly replied by copying and pasting from a list of standard responses - or from the description itself - doesn’t help at all. Reread it…..do you really think you answered her question? To the customer: from my experience, yes, you could boil water in it. I’ve successfully done so in an enameled cast iron pan from a different brand.

A: The pot is made out of Cast Iron which will rust. However, most of it is covered in Enamel to help protect it. This is why it cannot go in the dishwasher and must be washed by hand only.

Enamel coating is defective. I might have bumped handle edge, but clearly not under know. Used it 3 times and it's headed for the trash now. SO expensive to be this flawed.

I was so excited to buy this until I learned it contains lead. Leaded enamelware was supposed to be discontinued in the 1980s because of KNOWN health risks. Why are we still doing this?

This is a solid, heavy duty addition to your kitchen. Both of the meals I've made with it so far I used in the oven, however, it's also stove friendly. It's cast iron with enamel so it heats up well, and evenly but is a piece of cake to clean! It is VERY heavy duty. I'm looking forward to utilizing it for more meals in the future.

Recently arrived the Heavy-weight cast iron Enamel Braiser and love it. I have several pieces and will continue to use their products. Very versatile and easy to clean. I've used mine on the stove then popped it in the oven to finish. The enamel coating is substantial and seems like it will stand up well to regular use. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied. The Cast Iron Braiser Pan is a versatile, high-quality addition to my kitchen, and I highly recommend it!

This is heavy but it feels so high quality! Not only is it a great addition for your kitchen but I like to keep it on my stovetop as well to show off since it looks so nice. Just be careful when you have it in hand since it’s heavy and you don’t wanna break this!

I love everything about this pan except it has lead. Now I'm not sure if that's concerning or not actually. I find mixed opinions on if it's harmful or not in these new pans. I have two different brands of enameled cast iron dutch ovens. They're exactly like this pan. I don't remember them having a label saying lead. I might buy a tester and see. This pan is the perfect size it's lighter than my dutch ovens so easier to use. I don't have a dish washer so I don't mind hand washing. If it gets a chip or scratches I'll quit using right away. Which I'd do for any pan. Also this was packaged really well if cardboard on the lid and also in a cardboard cover.

The Figmint 3.5-quart Braiser pan is a versatile piece of cookware, suitable for braising, roasting, and frying, as well as one-pot meals. The size makes it great to work with. The pan comes with a matching lid. The cast iron pan has an enamel finish throughout except at the top rim, which needs to be seasoned upon purchase. This pan set is oven safe up to 500 degrees. Easy hand wash clean-up.

Perfect addition to my kitchen repertoire. This cast iron braiser is not only beautiful but also a workhorse. Because it’s cast iron, it’s great at retaining heat. I was able to get a very nice sear and then continue braising the beef curry. All in the one pot! I took off a star because the lid isn’t completely flush.

When i received the 3.5qt I was worried I wouln't like because its not diswasher safe. I used it to first bake chicken breast and then used it to make soup. It worked great for both. It ended up being super easy to clean! This is already one of my favorite pieces of cookware.

This enamel braiser is very versatile, able to be a braiser, used in the oven, and on the stove top. A couple concerning things I've found, were it is fairly heavy, with and without the cover, it cannot really be held or moved with one hand. Another concerning factor is the lead content. Things that are great, it is nonstick, simple to handwash only, as good does not stick. Its big enjoy for large portions of food. It hearts up evenly, and cooks food evenly. Works wonders as a dutch oven.

My new favorite heavy skillet! The quality is amazing! I have a bigger one made the same way and I adore it. I only use plastic or wooden utensils with it to help protect the enamel. It is great and perfect for holiday cooking.

I saw other reviews saying it contained lead so I started doing research, and the amount of lead it contains when someone tested it is INSANE. There is no safe amount of lead in any product, I will be returning this and recommending everyone do the same.

This is a affordable high quality dutch pot! It's a perfect size to make stew for our family and easy to clean! Only down side is that it is quite heavy for me but it seems like heat gets distributed on the food evenly for a long time.
