Q: Are there any pictures available of the back of the trash cans? I'm dealing with my house's trim , and some cans don't have a flush back the entire height of the can.

A: The back of the can is completely flat from top to the bottom. The only thing on the back is a handle that is integrated into the back. It doesn't stick out at all.

A: No, that'd be a bad idea. Rain water would pool on top, plus the sun would age the plastic and make the metal outsides super hot. It wouldn't hold up well.

A: Correct, the two inside containers are 30L each, combined together making 60L.

A: yes, but the inside can liner is thin and can crack easily if something heavy is thrown in there :(

Just wanted to share that we received this trash can without any imperfections. No dings or dents. There were also a few reviews that stated that the trash bags were lose and not secured. There is a hole in the bins that allows you to push the extra trash bag into the hole which then secures the bags. The best dual stainless stell bin on the market. Thanks!

The trash can arrived dented and damaged, and Target is saying I have less than a week for them to receive it as a return or I will not get a refund. Awful quality and the packaging is obviously not secure enough to protect the flimsy metal.

Arrived dented, towards the bottom and on the back side so I will just deal with it. This does fit 13 gallon bags but the cans are not 13 gallon so I typically remove the bag and then keep it around while I clean the house to fill it up more. Unfortunately almost all of the dual cans I looked up are this size so it’s just what you get. Overall I feel like a decent price for a mostly good quality can. The foot pedals work well, cans are easy to remove and it’s easy to clean. I got some vinyl stickers off Amazon to differentiate the trash and recycle side.

Trash cans are weirdly expensive, right? Anyway, I really wanted a two-compartment setup so I could use one side for trash and the other for recycling without the visual clutter of having two separate cans. The only real alternatives I saw out there for this were random two-compartment cans on Amazon and the SimpleHuman trash cans. In the end, I decided to bite the bullet and just pay $100 to order this one. Main thing I wish I would've considered is that the recycling side should really take up more of the can. The two plastic containers in this model are exactly equal in capacity, but I always end up emptying the recycling side much more often because recyclables tend to be bulky (bottles, cans, etc.). Thankfully, the plastic containers do take generic, standard sizes of trash bags, unlike SimpleHuman's annoying custom liners. The lids are a little wonky too. The lid on the left side has a silent soft close, which is nice, but the lid on the right inexplicably doesn't. I don't understand why the can was designed this way, and I wonder if it might just be an issue with mine. The way the lids are designed, bits of food also tend to get stuck in the space around the hinges, and it's hard to clean there. Despite the rigid shipping materials, the can also arrived slightly dented. Seemingly every stainless steel can review I looked at complained about shipping damage, so I'm honestly not sure if it's even avoidable no matter who you buy from. Overall, just average. It does its job, but I'd maybe try a different brand, possibly a no-name brand from Amazon.

Came damaged, with a few small dents towards the bottom of each side. Box was intact and of course we didn’t notice until after a week of having it. Thought the smaller canisters for each section wouldn’t be too bad because we change our garbage out frequently but it’s difficult to pull full bags out and any container of significant size takes up the entire other side we use for recyclables. It is also impossible to nicely tuck the top of the bag in to keep it from falling down. Great concept, rough execution in my opinion, especially for the obnoxious cost.

This tran can is a trash itself. Total waste of money. The lid is broken after a year and a half of using. Since the return window is for a year, target won't help at all. They won't even send you the parts to fix it.
