I bought the value pack probably a year ago and the ones I used soon after purchasing worked great. The problem I have is the unused hooks in the package no longer work because the adhesive on the strips has dried up. I have lots of Command Hooks in various sizes that I can no longer use because the strips don't work. If there is an expiration date for the adhesive strips, please print it on the package. Do you sell fresh strips separately? I have so many Command Hooks that are useless. Very frustrating!

I’ve been buying these hooks for a few years now to hangs Christmas lights around my window. The adhesive eventually dries out and the hooks fall off. That’s not a problem. The adhesive when taken off leaves a yellow residue that I cannot remove. It needs to be sanded and painted. Is there any way of removing this without all that work?

To avoid any future yellow residue, we would suggest using our Outdoor Light Clips, this product and its adhesive strip will protect against direct sunlight, humidity, moisture, -20 degrees and up to 125 degrees and will also stick to vinyl. The General Purpose or Clear can be still used, but may continue to experience this. Seems that the plastic does not stick to the tape - each use the clip comes off of the tape and my item falls to the ground. Been using Command for years - older products work, these do not. Nearly damaged precious Christmas decorations because this product did not hold up.

I bought some of these last year to hang up my Halloween string lights, worked perfect! I bought new ones this year that absolutely suck! the sticky pieces are made differently now they’re clear and very thin and don’t even stick to the wall. I’ve tried 2 different hooks 3 or 4 times.

I have been a fan for a while and will continue as long as the quality stays the same. I’ve wasted a ton of strips trying to get my hooks to stick to the wall, and I don’t have any more time to deal with this. I’m turning to good old hammer and nails to get my stuff to hang up.
