A: Hello - Yes, this item has a 5-hour timer setting. The switch on the base of the candle has 3 positions: OFF / ON / 5HR TIMER. The timer can also be set with a compatible remote, sold separately. Happy shopping!

did it arrive cracked and dented, but the plethora of packaging and the pathetic extra battery so you can "try it in the store" ...such a waste and if I want to return the broken product(s) I must actually go to a store although none is close and I purchased the item online...light is dim and sad

What is wrong with the screw. My entire evening has been wasted. I went to Target to specifically buy candles, get home to finish decorating my table and I can't even get the screw out of the battery compartment. Decorations are not done and now I have to waste more time taking the candles back. This is the most ridiculous product I have purchased and I can't find instructions to remove the screw but I see a whole lot of bad reviews about this. Why don't you just have these taken off the shelves?

Very nice candle but like others said, I couldn’t remove the screw after trying over a dozen different screwdrivers all with different grips and sizes. Sadly had to return and find one somewhere else.

Inconsistent light color

I already owned one of these and really liked it so decided to buy six more to fit in built in cubbies above my fireplace and mantle. I'm so disappointed that the glow they give off is inconsistent between candles- some are very warm, almost yellow while others are much cooler. . If you just need one, these candles are great but for my purpose I know will not be happy staring at mismatched lights. Back they must go.

It’s impossible to remove the screw to get to the battery compartment. It’s screwed in so tight! Makes the candle worthless.

The light has completely dimmed in these candles after just a couple uses. What's the point if I can only use them a few times. I wanted a nice alternative to real candles but I'd like them to work for a good amount of time before I have to toss them out

Both candles arrived with an unnecessary screw in the battery door. The screws were wound in so tightly that we could not open the door and the screws stripped from the attempt. It's impossoble to remove the battery door without removing the screw and you can't put batteries in without opening that little hatch. Will never buy these again.

First, the outer wrapper is ridiculously hard to get open without damaging the candle. Second, the Try Me Button is left intentionally & the picture showed what happened when I tried to remove the screw then remove that button. I would give it 0 stars! What a waste of time and money.

Absolutely cheaply made. If you are lucky enough to get the battery compartment open, good luck keeping the casing from shattering. Had to throw both away!

These candles are great now that I have them open. Getting the initial packaging off was a whole process. Then once I finally got them open I found I couldn’t unscrew the screw at the bottom to put batteries in. The screw is impossible to unscrew and totally unnecessary. If it weren’t for my dad being able to essentially drill the screw out of the candle, I would never have been able to use them. Please make these without the screw Target. They’re great otherwise.

Good luck getting the battery compartment open. The screw is stripped, so I had to completely break the compartment open so that I could use it. In the process, some pieces of the wax got chipped out. Sounds like this has happened before.
