86" Dual Mount Rust Resistant Shower Curtain Rod - Threshold™

For those complaining one of the end caps doesn’t come off, you have to screw it clockwise to get it to come off (opposite of how you’d unscrew anything else). This is due to the way you install the bar after you screws the end caps to the wall. The directions aren’t clear about it, but that’s how it works.

Our new home already had a tension rod mounted on the tile, but it kept falling under the weight of our ceiling-to-floor drapes + shower curtain liner, even after adding adhesive tape. We were thrilled to find a screw mount option in a similar style that wasn’t ridiculously overpriced and decided to give it a try in spite of some poor reviews. So glad we did! For us, both end pieces did unscrew from the rod - but one is left threaded and the other right threaded so it’s a little tricky. You do need to track which rod end screws in to which end piece, as it does make a difference. The rod slid right out of the box it was shipped in, but the screw mounting instructions, screws, washers and anchors were in a small bag taped to the inside of the box rather than attached to the rod - we only discovered them upon closer inspection. This rod is much sturdier than the tension rod that was already in place and we feel extra confidant by having it screw mounted.

Very nice looking rod. Love the fact it's a dual mount, with kids it seems to get pulled down if it's just a tension rod ,also with a tension rod the weight of a shower curtain also can pull it down. So being a dual rod you can screw into wall, is fantastic.

I tried to not use the 3M tape but it kept falling down. Okay, fine. I’ll use the 3M tape. I wanted to wait 24 hours before I hung my shower curtain up, and this rod didn’t even make it to 20 minutes before I heard it falling and I see that it took off the paint.

Who ever decided this needed 3M tape to help with installation should be removed from product development. It immediately removed paint from my wall while trying to adjust it. Turned a 5 minute task into a trip to the hardware store and having to repaint a wall.

2nd one I bought. First one kept falling. I thought it was a fluke. 2nd one did the same thing.

This is the most frustrating shower curtain rod I have ever purchased. Will be returning.. Will not stay up. I have had multiple high end shower curtain rods that I have installed myself and this is by far the worst!

This is NOT for screw mount. BOTH end caps DO NOT come off to screw into the wall. What a waste of time.

The sticky part on the ends came off and the tension alone wasn't enough to hold it up, almost cracked the tile in my bathroom several times while i was trying to install it and all the times it fell and hit the floor tile. Don't waste your time or money on this piece of crap.

Easy to put up and it looks really nice. Makes the bathroom look classy

Love this curtain rod, I purchased two. The style and ease make this purchase a great one and I would recommend.

We bought this for the screw in feature. However the one end will not come off which means we cannot screw it in. Don’t buy if you need it to be permanent because it’s impossible. Will be returning

The tension won’t hold if installing on tile walls. Will return and buy screw-in rod instead

Beautiful, was looking for a black rod to match the black trim in our bath & this was perfect. Packaged very nicely. A bit of a pain, I’ve never had a rod that took two people to put up. This one doesn’t use the typical spring style tension as others. We finally got it up & hope it stays. So far loving it.

Well made! I actually said “wow” out loud when I took it out of the box because it looks so nice. It looks like a nice curtain rod with nice end caps.

Don't buy this if you're trying to mount permanently. One of the end caps will not unscrew and you will not be able to install.

This may be the most frustrating apparatus I’ve ever had the displeasure of trying to use. The words coming out of my mouth while TRYING to get this pice of junk installed would make a sailor blush. Tension rods should be easy, right? NO! I twisted and shimmied it to no end. Still fell. This sucker is going back. God bless the other reviewers who got it to work.

It's sturdy and thick. It was super easy to install and it adds a bit of classic design to my bathroom. It's held up very well with kiddos yanking on the curtain to open and close as well. Even with the sturdiness, the rod itself isn't super heavy which made it easy for me to install myself. Double thumbs up from me!
