Q: How do you use this? Do you put it all over your face or do you put it on a spot over night? I have hormonal acne and I’m unsure on how to use it.

A: You are supposed to use it on pimples overnight as a spot treatment. However I advise against this—it made my pimples larger and more inflamed.
submitted byimsosad - 5 years agoA: You apply it over the breakouts. If you have concerns that it might irritate your skin, I would use it every other night (or morning -- I put it on beneath my make-up) and then gradually increase use if you don't see any problems.

I used Proactiv for years and now I only use their #1 cleaner and have replaced the step 3 cream with this (no longer do step 2). This works for me and is more affordable. I also prefer this flip top to the screw off top that Neutrogena has.

This works as well as any more expensive name brand spot treatment. I was pleasantly surprised. Perfect for those little guys that pop up every now and then after you indulged in a little too much chocolate. Takes 2-3 days max to completely disappear. Rub in well so no white residue remains. Perfect for travel too.

Every time i would put this product anywhere on my body there would be an immediate acne breakout on that area. i would wash the areas thoroughly even twice before putting product on that area and i would still get acne the day after using said product. This product would literally make my worst. I have stopped using this product and have not gotten a new bump since. IDK if it was because of my skin type or what.

It works, but I had to use it every morning and night for a week or two to get rid of one pimple or spot. If you want your acne to go away fast, I wouldn't recommend this product.
