AcuRite Atlas Pro Weather Station with High Definition Display: Indoor Outdoor Wireless Weather Station, Charcoal Gray

This my 2nd AcuRite wx station. The installation couldn't have been more frustrating. From leveling to finding the microscopic port for the solar panel; the instructions and videos for detailed work are useless. Then try and talk to support? Nope, only through portal. Then finding in the end that the Atlas model I bought was not WiFi compatible and had order another expensive part. Uugghhh! Never again.

The rain sensor on our newest weather station is too susceptible to wind currents and gusts, causing rain totals to count in the tens, when no rain has fallen. As this time, the rain total for today, with gusting winds, shows 52 inches!!

I really like the new AcuRite Atlas that I purchased to replace an AcuRite Atlas previous version. The new HD display is very good and easy to read. Also the setup of the unit is super easy. Shipping from the factory was very quick only took a day or two and arrived ready to go. The packaging of the weather stations is excellent. I am very happy with AcuRite and a repeat customer.

I haven't been an AcuRite owner for more than 15 years. I Purchased this model, because my old unit was destroyed when a tree fell on it. I love the display on my new unit although my old unit would display "It's raining cats and dogs" when we had a Torrential rain fall, this we found very funny. I hope this unit performs as well as our previous unit barring any random tree destroying it. AcuRite makes a great product a reasonable price. Kind Regards Christopher and Ellie Barrett

This was my second Atlas weather station in 3 years. The sensor on the first stopped working and rather than attempt to repair or replace just the sensor, I thought I would spring for the entire system. You know, get the latest and greatest. I was very disappointed to find the new receiver had done away with the SD card slot. I have 3 years of data stored on the old one. To have only today's and yesterday's data available is really crappy. This feels like a push to upgrade to the web connected system, however there are reasons people don't want everything in their house connected to the internet. Fortunately, I can keep the old receiver connected too and keep storing data. Also, there is nothing on the web site that even suggest that a sensor can be sent in for repair, I suppose that I could have called to find out, but you would think the support section would at least suggest the availability of repair services.

It should be noted somewhere in the sales process that it is necessary to have an Access unit, . Also the Access unit should have the ability to inform the operator that the batteries are low. And that even though this is a backup it causes operational problems.

The numbers on the display could be larger.

Everything went very well. It's easy to setup and seams to work well. I haven't been able too get a question answered. Is there a way to have more than seven sensors. I have the iris also and would like to use it in a different location. Is that achievable???

The outdoor sensor on the 7 in 1 system is too heavy for the mounting bracket. I had to use a metal pipe to mount it securely. The readings on the room display are very small and difficult to read. The 5 in 1 display was much better. Some of the readings that were on the 5 in 1 main screen are only found by accessing the menu which is inconvenient. I would buy the 5 in 1 if I would do it again which was very good.

Would like to see barometric pressure in hg/mb and not have to change everything to metric readings

Inaccurate rain measurement. Have adjusted according to instructions but may have not made equal turns. Can you tell me how to reset screws to factory settings to start over? Thanks in advance.

Good morning, There are a couple of issues with either the Atlas or the display module. This is the third unit that I have owned/operated. The UV on the module always shows 5 – whether it is the daytime or the night. The second is the wind speeds. This unit is out in the open prairie of western Kansas south of Hays on 133 acres so there is nothing close to blocking winds. The highest it has ever read is 26mph and daily we have winds speeds of 10-25mph. This 26mph wind was captured when a cold front moved through and the NWS was measuring winds of 55-60mph. On a typical windy day here it will indicate speeds of 10-12mph. Any reply back would be awesome so we can get this gauge up and measuring properly.

This is my 3d unit since 2015. Good price, easy installation. Had to purchase the lighting detector separately, I thought it should be included. Overall pleased so far.

Used to see results of the Atlas Weather Station

This was a replacement for my first Atlas, unpacking, setup, and connection to home and internet easy. I now have two working displays. All good, except for one thing. The UV does not get to 6, my last one stopped at 3. But I'm in Florida and we've had some 11 days. There is no way to adjust this is there. To me it stops at about 50% of reality. Other than that, I'm really happy.

It's a decent product, although I've had issues with the lightning detector receiving interference during a couple of recent thunderstorm events, preventing it from counting certain strikes, and the 12-24 hour forecast on the display erroneously indicating rain or thunderstorms (it is showing thunderstorms being forecast as of this writing, even though it is not forecast to rain in the short-term) even when other forecast data indicates dry conditions, suggesting (even as it is ending phase one of the learning mode cycle) it has trouble getting a proper handle on predicting future conditions in situations where pressure decreases occur as part of daily barometric fluctuations during drier periods.
