This Floating Stock Tank Pond Deicer and Heater is great for keeping the cows water from freezing over. This product was used all winter with no problems. The water outside never froze even when temperatures were below 0. I would recommend this heater to anyone looking for one.

This product completely eliminates the need to do that. I feel this is a must have for anyone with horses or other livestock and lives in an area that gets below freezing during the winter. It’s simple and easy to install. I also feel confident with it being safe since it is has thermal feedback so it keeps the unit from overheating, and doesn’t heat the water enough to make it warm. It is energy efficient, and has a durable 6 foot cord. This thing does not sink so no worries about having to stick your hand down to fish it from the bottom of a cold water trough. It’s CSA listed meaning it meets safety standards and compliance for both the United States and Canada! It is also UL listed which means it has been tested by Underwriters Laboratories to nationally recognized safety and sustainability standards. It also means that the product is free from a reasonably foreseeable risk of fire or electric shock in a Division 2 environment. You can have peace of mind knowing your animals aren’t in danger. If anyone needs a tank de-icer for a small-medium sized trough (recommended for 70-100 gallon non metallic tanks) then I recommend giving this a try. It’s also very affordable!
