Apple Smart Folio for iPad Air 11-inch (M2) (2024, 6th generation) - Charcoal Gray

The cover is just ok IMO, especially for the price being on the more expensive side. The edges when I am holding it feel a little sharp, almost like you could get cut by it if you weren't careful. The IPad is held in place by magnet and sometimes can come off that when I try to open the cover, which could have used a little tab or something to grab easily rather than an edge the same length as everything else making it hard to open easily since the magnet also holds the cover tightly shut. Am thinking of returning it.

Apple keeps downgrading this product. This version, which isn't obvious from the pictures or description, is not a case, it's more of a cover. Only the left edge, top, and bottom are covered. The top edge, bottom edge, and right edge are NOT covered. The cover attaches magnetically, which works well. And the angle of the screen when the cover is folded to form a stand, can be adjusted, unlike prior models. The first position is very upright. But you can slide the folded part of the cover up the back of the tablet to make it less upright (as on prior models, this works magnetically). Though the description says this is leather, there is no material content listed on the cover itself or any of the packaging. It doesn't feel or smell obviously like leather - it seems like a leather substitute. Overall, more quality was sacrificied over prior models than improvements added. It's too expensive at $79.

I love the color as it matches the purple Ipad wonderfully. It is very smooth to the touch and allows easy access to the buttons. I enjoy that it folds into a stand which is perfect for video calls.
