It said 'non-slip' backing! Yikes, almost wiped out. Do not purchase if you are looking for safety It's beautiful, just not safe Always use a mat with suction cups, lesson learned.

It's very comfortable on the feet and doesn't slide around. After showering for the day I just hang it to dry. Cleaning it is just as easy since it's machine washable.

We are always on the lookout for a good non slip solution because our old metal tub gets really slick and we've had some falls. My husbands first remark was "that's gonna collect some hair" and he was not wrong. My youngest daughter and I both have medium length hair and this thing loves gathering it. Cleaning the mat after every shower becomes very tedious and just spraying it off and hanging it is a no go because it holds on to debris and water so you gotta clean it then dry it before hanging it up. I like that the back is more like non moving rug liner and not suction cups.

The non slip grid layer lays perfectly on the floor. I did have a difficult time opening the packaging. Using scissors was difficult because I kept thinking I’m cutting into the mat. I also love that there is no scent to this mat!
