A: No, it has no odor at all! In fact, I wish they made a big square one for a shower. This thing isn't just for kids.

submitted bytrex - 3 months agoA: Yes, a very strong odor. I purchased this mat a few months ago. I tried oxy-clean, vinegar, baking soda, etc. and nothing will stop the off-gassing from making our entire bathroom smell like rubber.

I love it!! At first the small vent holes were pinching the bottom of my feet but after a couple showers it stopped oddly enough. I love the size it's long and very cushioned! It would be great if there were more colors!

Was hopeful about it since the old one was so nice. This mat STINKS. It smells awful no matter how much you wash it or treat it. It doesn't stick to the tub either and slides around everywhere. Don't waste your money.

It's comfortable and a good size but it STINKS SO bad. I tried soaking it in vinegar and hot water and have taken several showers and it still smells like toxic fumes are emitting from it

Comfortable mat to sit on but constantly growing mold underneath. I have to hang it to dry after every bath and scrub it every other week. Also only half of the suctions work. I could never get all of the suctions to stay

This bath mat has a terrible smell to it. We've washed it several times with soap and water and baking soda and water. Still smell horrible. We've air dried it, left it in the sun, which was recommended and still smelly. We also noticed our granddaughter started getting a rash after using it. I definitely do not recommend and will try to return or contact the company.

I am really disappointed. Even though, I like how cushiony the mat was, it smelled terribly. You could smell it from several feet away.The mat still stunk after 2 days of airing out on our balcony. The cushions did not stick to the tub either. We ended up throwing it out because we did not want our baby sitting on something that smelt so strongly of chemicals.

We liked the texture and design of this soft bath mat for our toddler. We opened it when we got home and noticed a terrible chemical smell, so we rolled it out and left it in a spare bathroom. The bathroom became unusable due to the smell. 24 entire days later, we have yet to use it, and it is still off-gassing. Munchkin, you need to get it together. There's no way these gasses aren't harmful, especially to the little brains and bodies for whom this mat is designed. I just sprayed it down with an excessive amount of dawn power wash, scrubbed it with a sponge and no change to the smell. Needless to say, I will be returning this hot steaming pile of toxic garbage. Stay away.

This thing is a mold trap. I’ve bought two now. Even the second one is moldy after 2 uses and hanging to dry after each use. It’s really gross and makes me sick that my baby could have sat in a tub with even a little of this crap growing on the bottom

This mat has the most horrendous chemical smell that overwhelms the entire bathroom even after a week of use. If I can't return it I'll be throwing it away. The suction cups are small and don't stick well at all. But more than anything it's the terrible smell.
