Asus ROG Crosshair X670E HERO Gaming Desktop Motherboard - AMD X670 Chipset - ATX

The motherboard is great overall. It has plenty of slots for M.2 storage, 2 USB power slots which is enough to power all my extra USB ports on my Corsair 7000D case. It even comes with an M.2 expansion card, although I haven't used it. The WIFI antenna it comes with also boosted my WIFI speed quite considerably compared to what it was before the upgrade. It works great with my 7950X3D. However, I do have on major complaint with the particular board I received. I purchased a pair of G.Skill Trident Z 24GB 5200MHz ram sticks to pair with the DDR5 slots on the board. It turns out the board I got is faulty and the A1-A2 RAM slots appear to not work. I can only run my system halfway stable with single-channel RAM, with only one stick installed. Big let-down there. If it wasn't for that, this board would get 5 stars.

The install was very easy and with the booklet it made it even easier. Also the motherboard itself is amazing and super cool to use.

Lots of usb problems and repetitive random restarts whether in the OS or the BIOS. A great motherboard in terms of feature set but stability/reliability leaves so much to be desired.

AWESOME ! This ASUS Crosshairs X670E HERO mother board is a power house , running 4TB of NVMe, two are embedded, and one in PCIe. CPU is AMD Ryzen 9 X7950X3D 4.4/6.0 GHz . ASUS PCU 1000W , ROG 360 to keep it cool , amd the Graphics, ASUS Radaon RX7900XT 20GB DDR6 , and l;ast the ASUS case Helios , system OS , Windows 10 home . All parts were order 7-42-2024 , build started 8-10-2024, ended 8-11-2024, up and running , Everything work , not a single hick-up.. I didn’t use all the utility, not needed the AI performance the self turn, and learn , is awesome . Let it run , update , turn it on and off when prompted , players a few games , them used a bench mark tool. To check the performance , Scored what’s claim GREAT SCORE , 5746 i have all the data too , Totally surprised too. The benchmark work well , not a problem ! Two days latter still running . I have built navy computers , in 2004 i built a hero build all ASUS parts, it ran 24/7 from 2004 to 2024 June, day it die !! Hosted games , and played thousand of hours on that machine , and again it never shut it off unless of a power outage , a buffers back . I expect the same from this machine . ASUS ROCKS people , want the best it ASUS for me !

So this is a serious disappointment. This board paired with the latest 7950x3d and its painfully slow to boot and underperformed.

Supports all the peripherals need for extreme graphics gaming. Also, plenty of room for high end parts.

A waste of 14 hours - could not get it to produce any video. Tried with 3 different GPUs and the on board graphic connection. Not our first as we used the same board without issue on a built in January 24. Tried everything we could to troubleshoot but were pressed for time as the unit was due for delivery. Bought a competitive board and all original components worked 100%. Reading other reviews it seems to be hit-or-miss on whether you get a board that will post first time out.

Every thing about it is “GREAT” only the BIOS is so bad when it comes to RAM tuning ( it limits you from getting the best performance from your rig )

Good graphics card. Better than my experiences with any others that's for sure. But can I trust it?

Decent board. Cannot support 128gb RAM at any decent speed. Aura Matrix is not compatible. EZ Mode BIOS does not seem to make any changes. M2 PCIe expansion limits PCIe speeds.

Board installed seemlessly with no issues. Posted on first try and recognised everything connected

This has been the easiest set up in a long time the border it's self looks stunning.

I love my Hero MB, easy to use and OC. My only thing is for brighter LEDs but other than that , buy it again for another AMD CPU.

At first power up with two DDR 5-6000 QVL listed ram and latest bios installed would hang and not boot. After several tries, I removed one stick of ram, and it booted fine. Next installed 2nd stick of Ram, booted ok. Next enabled EXPO, to get ram at 6000, everything works great. Love this board.

Beautiful looking board but difficult to setup. Had issue with black screen traced it down to a HDMI cable 67 (now using my Xbox series X cable) and it would not setup a new cpu from onboard HDMI port 99(black screen again) Had to have a graphics card but all you need to do is press y? Once the card was fitted.

Good solid board, using 4 sticks of M-Die and sitting at 4000 CL30 @4.0v

I was sceptical at first about buying the Asus motherboard with the whole melting chip scenario that went down, but after following the situation closely and Asus rectifying the situation I decided to take the chance and make the purchase. So far mb has been rock solid with no issues

So far it's great! Haven't had any issues like others have.
