Athena Club Body Wax Strips, 30 ct

This was a freebie. I don't use wax strips but I want to try these. I just need time I haven't had yet.

This is the best wax stripes I’ve tried so far. Super easy to use.

I haven’t used wax strips before but after using them 3-4 times my hair grows back sparser. It’s hard to get all the hairs it would be helpful if you could cut the strips, but I’m happy with them, my results are better than expected. I prefer these over shaving.

These are some of the worst wax strips I’ve ever tried. And I’ve run the gamut. Having used them on the underarms, they will never get all the hair in one pass. They get maybe half the hairs and then break all the rest to the point you can’t go at them again because they’re too short to be waxed after being broken, but still long enough to be visible. It’s the worst of both worlds. Not only that, each strip can only be used once. After one application it’s lost nearly all adhesion. I say this as someone who doesn’t even have that thick of hair. If you’re someone with even remotely thick hair, please trust me when I say these are 100% a skip. Do yourself a favor and get yourself the Sally Hansen strips instead.

I’ve tried a lot of wax strips, but this one is the best I’ve tried! Honestly couldn’t stop saying “wow” while waxing. Smooth on, smooth off, smooth after. It’s a great product I’ll buy again.

I have tried Billie and Flamingo, these are way better. They have more "wax" on the strip to grab the hair. The wax itself also seems less hard. They worked great.

This does not work well on legs, at least for me. I was able to use on smaller parts of my body fine but legs was awful. My skin got very irritated, which it didn’t on other parts and for 75% of the time the wax strip didn’t get all of the hairs which is very defeating considering that it hurts lol. Worth the money for small parts of body but not legs.

Not good .. flamingo is better

I have medical issues that prevent me from being able to shave my legs consistently, so I had pretty long hair on my legs from the winter when I just give up trying, but these strips worked really well for me. The photo is after just one calf compared to the other. I’m plus sized too, so between both calves I used a whole box. Needed another for the top of my legs/knees, but that’s okay. It’s still incredibly affordable considering how much I would pay a wax center. As far as pain goes, I would rate it average. I have sensitive skin as well and did great with this and the post wax cloths, which work really well to get the excess wax off, you just need to use a little elbow grease. Will definitely be buying again.

I started waxing my face and arm pits and have been trying to find a product that's would work on my thick armpit hairs. I've tried other brands and nothing has work as good as these ones. I've only needed 1 strip each for my armpits compared to almost a whole box from other brands that still left me with hair.

Got these because my usual Sally Hansen was out of stock (fortunately!). These are much better and don't leave that pink residue like the previous ones. The wipes have tea tree oil so it's much more natural. I followed the instructions including trimming to length and application was smooth and quick to remove. Will continue to use!

I have super thick man hairs prone to growing literally 3/4 inch long over the winter season. I had been patiently waiting to wax them or go to a session for 5-6 months. I paid for two boxes / $20 total which was perfect for both of my legs. I've never self-waxed before. Instructions were easy to understand and I'm actually super happy with my results. I experienced very minor next-day redness and irritation. I wonder if my experience was different than others' because my hairs were longer. The instructions say to have hairs only a few millimeters long and to trim if necessary; I did not trim. And everything pulled right out.

Nothing. I absolutely loved this wax kit! I waxed my arms recently with this kit and they looked like I got them done at a salon. Y’all just saved me $80. Im definitely buying this wax kit again!

I've been going to a business to be waxed and wanted to save money so I bought two boxes to do it myself. Peeling the paper very slowly (as per instructions) the paper would rip and not all the wax would be on both strips evenly. Pulling these are not for those with arthritis either. My hands and arms are smarting now. I followed the instructions to the letter and still did not pull hair up as well as it should have. They were long and exactly how they should be before waxing. After two hours of trying to get my front legs done, I was done. I used the oil packets after to remove the wax. Those worked for the most part. Now I'm itching and breaking out. Yes, I did a test patch first and waited. Not sure if it's the oil or the wax. Back to paying a wax place to do it. Not sure what to do with the other box of wax but not going to use it.

I’ve used home wax strips for years. All brands have their strengths and weaknesses, but the number one thing that matters to me is being able to do two full legs with one box. Typically with other kits it will be difficult to achieve this with long leg hair, easier with short (1/4 inch or longer). This is the first wax brand I’ve used where the opposite is true. I could barely get it to grab shorter hairs and couldn’t get a good second use out of the strip. Irritation was about the same as with any other brand, but I had to use half the box on the bottom half of one leg. However, when I tried the strips on long leg hair (multiple months of growth) the strips were much more effective and I had almost no irritation. I personally wouldn’t buy these again for wax maintenance but if you’re willing to put up with longer regrowth I think they’d probably do just fine. That said, so would almost every other brand.

These wax strips are fine. Not the worst I've used, far from the best I've used (Billie, not in stores only on their website). My problem is with the serum wipes, which do not remove wax residue and that stink. The instructions say not to try to remove wax residue with water, soap, etc. and I get it, the wipes should do it better, but they just don't. Wax residue left on my skin for days until I picked it off with my fingernails. Gross. My advice: try the Billie brand ones for the same price. You can use the strips more times, the wipes actually work, and they don't smell bad.
