Q: Is the bottom of the cradle where the baby lays solid like wood/MDF or more like cardboard?

A: Thanks for your question. The bottom of the cradle is MDF but a slightly thinner MDF than the rest of the cradle pieces. The cradle is adorable however it is not of much use because the bottom falls through so that baby dolls fall to the floor. This is a poor design with no support for the bottom of the bed. I would not recommend this cradle unless it is just to be looked at and not played with.

This doll bed looks cute, but is barely functional. The part of the cradle where the doll lays, keeps falling through and won’t stay securely in place. We can barely use it.

The item was scratched before it was packaged. It looks like someone tried to buff it out. The bottom doesn’t stay in very well. I anticipate I will have to replace this item within a few months.

This dog cradle is adorable and well-built. However if your little ones are still at the age where they think they can get inside it also just a warning the bottom will burst out. Luckily after we had this happen once I was able to fix it and my granddaughter learned only to put the babies in it not herself

It's really cute! ok yes it's made out of particle type board but it is 27 dollars. your not going to get real chilled wood, it is pretty sturdy and rocks really easily. Someone mentioned the pillows are cheap but they were fine to me. I included a pic so you can see them. You could always buy some to add. The only thing that i wish it had was a pad but the blanket works as a pad and I'm just going to get an extra doll blanket so when she sets her doll inside it can lay on the white blanket. Overall an amazing toy and super cute! I will be buying more to give as gifts!

This cradle was pretty easy to assemble and is cute. I had no issues with it. The matching high chair is a whole other story. I wish that high chair was made better, but the parts are cheap and I had to re-order parts twice because of the terrible quality and things breaking or not tightening during assembly.

Gorgeous and easy to put together but the SMELL! It reeks of chemicals and has been sitting in the sun on my deck or in the garage since I put it together on Christmas Eve because it gives everyone a sore throat and burning nose when it's in the house for even 5 mins. Hopefully I can at least get an even exchange with a different item.

I bought both the doll Cradle and doll bed for my twin Grand daughters. Very cute and sturdy. I have bought other items from Badger Basket over the years and they were always made with good quality. In fact my (almost) 18 yr old grand daughter still has the first Crib I bought for her baby doll for her first Christmas.
