Banza Microwaveable Mac Elbows & Cheddar - 4.2oz

I truly wanted to like this, as I am a pasta lover but I must eat low carb. I can handle the different consistency of the noodle. I can handle the different taste of the noodle. What's turning me off is the cheese flavor. It's just terrible. It doesn't taste anything like Velveeta cheese or Kraft cheese. I really truly wanted to like it.

This tasted awful. It had a horrible after taste as well. I couldn’t even finish it. I love all of the other products but this one.

This has a strange taste to it and even worse after taste. Not sure if it’s the banza brand or the cheese packet, but we like other brands of chickpea pasta a lot. This one leaves a lot to be desired.

I have been on a low carb(bad carbs) and low calorie diet. Decided to try this product since it’s high in protein. Can I just say, immediately as it was cooking it smelled weird, then when it was done my first bite, I was ready to puke.. this stuff tasted so gross. Definitely won’t recommend to anyone.

Terrible smell and taste, I do not recommend! I’d rather find ways to add my own protein to the Annie’s gluten free individuals. Very disappointing.

THEY HAVE SWAPPED OUT THEIR FOOD COLORING WITH A STOMACH IRRITANT! This product used to be made with annatto extract made from the seeds of the achiote tree, which is a safe and harmless food additive used for coloring. Some &(*%&&%&^%^% penny-pincher at the company decided to switch that out with paprika extract. Paprika is made from dried Capsicum peppers and is a well-known stomach irritant. This is a product that is intended for people who already have digestive issues. Suddenly adding in a known irritant substance with no warning is beyond beyond stupid. It is negligent in the extreme. If you wake up in the wee hours of the morning with your stomach in agony after eating this product, now you know why. This company is cruelly hurting people in the name of profit.

I wanted to like this, but it doesn't taste good and it's like eating glue. Lumpy glue that doesn't even taste like cheese. I thought maybe I screwed something up the first time so I tried again, and it was not any better. If two tries isn't enough for an adult to figure out how to make this taste acceptable, something is seriously wrong. Don't buy this, it wouldn't be worth it at even a quarter of the price.

I love all Banza products in general. But especially right now, since I currently have gestational diabetes while pregnant. I have been hardcore craving the microwaveable mac&cheese. I have, so far, had luck with the Banza pasta, pizzas, and waffles in managing my blood glucose levels (along with other modifications obviously), so when I saw these for sale on their website, I HAD to try them. They're amazing! They taste great! They're so handy to have for a quick lunch. Per serving, they're the same calorie content as most other microwaveable mac&cheese varieties BUT they have double the protein, 25% less overall carbs plus 4x the fiber (making the net carbs even less). This was a nice complement, paired with some extra protein, for managing my blood glucose level at lunchtime! I bet this would work lovely for type 2 diabetics, too! My only complaint is that I had to buy SO MANY from the online store. I truly don't need this many, lol. I wish they were sold in stores in normal quantities. I checked several grocery stores in the area, but never could find these, sadly. But I suppose that's more of a grocery store sourcing dept. issue than a Banza issue. However, my sister has Celiac Disease so I'm happy to share with her since everything Banza is gluten free, too. 10/10 would recommend! The next thing I'd love Banza to do is the 60-second microwaveable pasta packets. Life-changing.

If you are really craving mac & cheese, this may not fully hit the spot. With that said, I have eaten other Banza pastas, as well as many, many alternative pastas made of all sorts of things, and this pasta holds up comparably to “real” pasta, and the flavor is similar to other boxed white mac & cheeses. I ate it because I wanted an easy dinner that felt indulgent but didn’t feel entirely unhealthy, and it totally did the trick.

I really like Banza's traditional pasta and boxed Mac n cheese so was excited when I saw the individual microwave servings to try out. I was hugely disappointed - the sauce has no flavor and the cheese does not melt well. Very expensive for what it is. Do not buy if you think it'll taste like the one in the box.

Awful taste & texture! This product doesn't deserve shelf space! I returned it!!

Gummy, gloopy, doesn’t taste good. Just gross.

Tastes horrible, like no flavor. And gooey ew. Not at all like the boxed version. Don’t waste your money. I took one bite and threw it out :(

I was immediately so excited when I saw this product. I am a massive fan of Banza; their pizzas and noodles are amazing. I actually bought 3 packs of the microwavable mac and cheese because I am in college and this is a perfect product for me. When I made the product, however, the noodles were great, but the cheese taste is awful. Seriously, I wanted to like the product so bad but I physically cannot get over how bad the cheese stuff is. I will be returning my un opened packs.

This was better than I thought it was going to be. You have to make sure you stir the water prior to cooking and it says 2 minutes, but my microwave it was more like 1:50. You have to stir the cheese powder in right away and mix it well, then let it sit. I think a lot of the negative reviews came from people who didn’t follow the directions. Also if people are expecting Kraft Mac n Cheese, this is not going to taste like that at all. This is made with real ingredients not chemicals.

They are overpriced but very convenient. Kinda bland but I add butter, extra cheese and pepper and it makes it so much better. I really buy them for the convenience of being able to microwave them but they’re pretty decent!

These are really good when in a pinch for lunch. I feel they are a little pricey to use on a regular basis but good quality.

This was the nastiest excuse for Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Zero flavor. Zero stars.

It doesn’t even taste like Mac and cheese, doesn’t even have a cheese flavor. It’s so starchy and just weird. I was so excited because it’s protein max and cheese but no dude just stick with regular Mac and cheese.

Tastes really bad. I expected better since this brand is usually pretty good but was very disappointed.
