We actually had this brand prior to receiving this, but the pump just didn't have the gallon capacity for our huge above ground pool. This one is PERFECT for the size pool we have. It works so great at keeping the water nice and clean. It's pretty simple to install. It does take a little time, and I pulled up a YouTube video to help, but after getting it going, it's all smooth from there! Our pool is above ground. The sand you want to make sure is FOR sand pumps. Overall, I'm more than happy!
