It’s durable, can come apart in many locations to fix any potential clogs, lightweight and easy to maneuver. It did great on hard floors and low to medium pile rugs but was impossible to use on high pile, even using the suction adjustment it couldn’t be moved along it. By the second month the spin brush wouldn’t work. I took it apart to remove potential debris and found that the plastic holding the spin brush in place had somehow melted and that there was melted plastic from this sucked into the brush housing. It’s absolutely unbelievable to have your vacuum melt. I hope that my experience was some sort of one-off, if it wasn’t for the melting incident I would easily give this vacuum five starts and a repurchase.

I have a double coated dog and this thing is awful for his fur type. Both the main roller and the one in the hand held are constantly getting tangled. Taking it apart to manually remove the hair every week gets old.
Best vacuum purchase in 20 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned the Kirby Generation 4, and 2 Shark Rotator Pet Plus. I have been frustrated with how the Shark was cleaning. Yes, I bought a large cache of filters for my Shark, and changed them weekly. I bought the the Bissell pet multiclean, and WOW!!! What a difference. I don't know how many pool balls the Bissell will suck up, but I know it cleans carpet Extraordinarily well.

First dislike is the lack of attachment tools--especially a brush for hard wood floors, and ability to vacuum throw rugs. Hair does rap around the brush and builds up on the edges of the roller until the brush no longer rolls. Ready for the trash and search for new machine.

After a year of having this vacuum. There is a crack in the hose and also a pin fell out for the handle. The brush to use the hose does not last at all too. Worse than a toothbrush. Definitely would not recommend. I had a dyson that last years with out things breaking. Stay away from Bissel. They have great suction but does not hold up for months. It’s like a toy vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the vacuum to clean a 8x10 area rug. It does a decent job. The "tangle free" roller is just not true. The positive thing about the vacuum is that it is easy to clean, although it doesn't have the largest collection bin. Has to be emptied pretty quick and that's just for one rug. Wouldn't recommend if your going to vacuum the entire house. Doesn't work great on the floors so I stick to a broom and dust pan for the rest of my house. Most impressive part of the product is the "pet eraser" attachment. That's pretty much the one bright spot, otherwise I wouldn't distinguish this from any other vacuum. Really disappointed in the roller getting completely tangled. Feels like that advertisement was a rip off and if it wasn't marketed as tangle free I'd be a lot happier with the vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hair wraps around roller and even after cutting it off will stop working. Does not pickup cat hair very well. My back hurts so bad after I am done vacuuming because it does not work on the low pile area rugs very well

We bought this vacuum specifically because it says it’s tangle-free. Used the vacuum for about a month before the tangle-free cylinder started to burn and no longer work because it apparently doesn’t even fit into this model vacuum. We had to buy the correct part, therefore making it no longer tangle-free.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Model 2849 replaced a 12-year old Hoover WindTunnel, which had good suction but was way too loud. This unit uses less power (7A vs. 12A), has better suction and is significantly quieter. The only thing that would require ear-plugs would be extended use of the Pet Turbo eraser attachment (it make a notable whine). It takes some time to get used to a swivel-head vac after using fixed-position vacs or 30+ years, but it's a nice feature. I used some Gorilla tape to make a handle for the bottom of the canister (see picture). That handle allows for an easy pick-up when carrying it, cleaning stairs or positioning it onto a rug / dog bed that sits higher than the main floor (so it doesn't suck-in the edge and jam the roller). Pretty happy so far. As always, time will prove its durabiility.

The way the vacuum head swivels makes getting around things very easy. The power head is a little to strong as it really bites down onto things and makes it kind of hard to control. What I was surprised to see it does not have a headlight. Even my grandmothers hoover from the 40's had a headlight.

This new model is really powerful, pulling dirt out of the carpet that I didn't know was there. Easy to empty dirt canister, and the filters are easy to get to and clean as well. One of the more appreciated features is that the design blows the post-motor hot air forward, away from the operator, so you're not being cooked by the vacuum. It's very maneuverable, downright nimble, but the "steering" design does take a bit of getting used to--kind of like pushing a grocery cart backward, only different. :-) The attachments are well designed and easy to get into action as well, with plenty of reach. In fact, my only tiny quibble is that the cord is about four feet shorter than the one on our old Bissell. #sweepstakes

We like the pet brush . But the hose needs help. Keeps shrinks when you turn on vacuum. Maybe you can find us a motor to fit our vacuum. Thank you

After a year of light use (purchased in April 2021, broken by September 2022) the brush no longer spins making the vacuum basically useless. Considering we have hardwood floors and only really used this for an area rug this is totally unacceptable.
