A: I have 3 long hair dogs and this does a really good job of keeping the hair from wrapping. The only times I’ve had to remove anything was a long string of thread or something that wrapped up and dog hair then got caught in that. I clean off the brush roll when I do the filters and it’s never much and usually I can just pull it, no scissors needed.

To keep hair off the brushroll, the self-cleaning brushroll has anti hair wrap strips that will constantly make contact with comb, creating a different tone from a traditional vacuum.

Q: Does the vacuums catch compartment filters be removed out of the catch compartment? Maintence hasn't been easy, I wasnt able to take the brush roll can that also be removed for better maintenance?

A: We would like to let you know that you can remove the foam and felt filter (located in the unit under the dust cup) to be able to wash the filters (with water only and allow to completely dry before putting back inthe unit). The brushroll is not a removeable part from the floor nozzle. To eaily remove hair and debris from the brushroll we recommend using scissors to cut any hair or strings to make easier to remove.

This is the only shark vacuum that has failed me. The head of it started dropping when picked up and the brush roller decided when it wanted to work. Shark replaced the vacuum and the replacement started to do the same glitch with the roller brush working when it wants to. I’m meticulous about making sure the roller brush is free of extra strands of hair, fabric, etc. I would STRONGLY recommend a different model of this vacuum brand.

Works great on hard floors and low pile rugs and carpeting. The higher pile carpeting stops the roller fins. The only way to avoid this is to open the vent, leaving stuff behind. Overall not a bad vacuum if you dont have thick carpets. I love that the hose is longer than most shark vacuums on this model. The Gilead green wasnt my favorite color choice.

I had a Shark vacuum before and it was very good. This one jumps while vacuuming the carpet, no adjustment available. The rubber blades do nothing for short-hair dogs. It takes a lot longer to vacuum the house as the vacuum head is small. I do not recommend this vacuum.

I bought this and returned it after trying it. As a previous Shark customer I was very disappointed in how cheesy this vacuum was. I have had 3 sharks and always loved them so when I wanted to upgrade of course I wanted a shark. This particular model is very light but didn't even show any vacuum marks on the rugs. It did pick up some pet fur but the brushes didn't fluff the nap at all. Even my old shark still does that. Yes I have to clean the brushes unlike this model but my old one does a better job than this one.

This is the worst vacuum. It isn’t powerful enough for very minimal vacuuming on carpet. It gets jammed every use and it’s very difficult to clear the jam since the power is so weak- it all collects at the base of the hose. We hate this vacuum, it’s terrible quality and it’s got really bad traction and is really difficult to steer. 0 stars if I could. Such a waste of money

It's early, so I can't tell if the "self cleaning brushroll" actually works, but the unit does seem to have pretty good suction, and on-board tool storage for the crevice tool and "pet hair upholstery tool" - though we miss the brush tool. Our previous Shark had a light on the front of the unit and on the handle when detached - really loved that feature and it is missing here.

I didn't like anything about this vacuum. For the price I definitely expected a great unit. No matter the suction level I had it at, it just had no suction power. I had to go over spots many times, sometimes it would eventually pick up the crumbs most times it didn't. I ended up returning this vacuum.

It easily clogs where the detachable wand plugs in. I've had two and both had to be thrown away because you cannot clear them out if there is the slightest clog of pet hair. Worst vacuum for pet hair.

False online advertisement online. It reads on the description that with the shark navigator swivel pro you get pet multi tool to use two ways as a brush and or upholstery tool for removing pet hair. NO BRUSH attachment was included. Just a flimsy plastic attachment

The quality of the vacuum. Unless you only want to use on hardwood floors, do not buy this vacuum. This is our 4th Shark. I thought, if they only last 1.5 years, I would go with the less expensive option. Not wise.
