A: Mine hasn't lasted a year and it now throws pet hair out of the bottom instead of sucking it up.

Q: Why has My vacuum stopped working ?after only 6 months and I used it about 2x a week. It has an empty canister, a cleaned out hose and I also cleaned out the Bristol’s string, hair and anything that would stop it from picking up.

We selected this machine based on its pet hair labeling and 4 star reviews. We have an 1800 sq ft home and 1 small shedding dog and vacuum two to three times/week with broom sweeping daily. It requires complete pulling apart, every time it fills. I can roughly run it for 5-10 minutes total between emptying. Emptying creates a new mess. Filter fills with dust and has to be cleaned roughly every two weeks (4-6 uses) (cleaning with blue dish soap and water). In cleaning hard floors, we have to hold a broom behind the machine and pull it backwards. If I'm going to use a broom, it doesn't seem sensible to plug in a vac to make it more difficult.

Genuinely the worst vacuum I've bought in my life. The suction was terrible and would just move the debris around and leave a trail. Couldn't even get a full use out of it. Do not waste your money.

This is the worst one I’ve tried. It’s LOUD and very stiff to maneuver. The debris is all stuck to the roll and all underneath the vacuum but the container is clean. Very odd!

I didn't give it 5 stars because it's cheaply made and the places where the plastic parts click together are flimsy and I worry that they will not hold over a period of time.

Cord on the wrong side, always having to untangle. No wherevto wrap up the cord, my cord ended up breaking and tearing as I was trying to put the cord where it would not get caught up on the floor. Pet hair continuously and quickly clogs the entire system, filthy, dirty mess trying to clean up and you have to reach your hand, if you can, to pull out all the remains crap and hair. Disgusting. Louder than a truck without an exhaust pipe. It was by far the worse vac I purchased and it is not worth the cost, though lower than most Bissels. It is a tremendous flop, I absolutely hate this thing and wish I could get my hard earned money back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a dog and an area rug for 10 years. I also have a African Grey parrot that is very dusty and messy. So I vacuum the rug every day. I always thought that that rug must be super clean..... well... I used this Bissel right away when I got it and the amount of hair , dust and dirt was unbelievable !!! It even feels like a new rug...... it brought the fabric right up. I am so impressed with this vacuum, I love it.
