Play sun safe with Blue Lizard Kids Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion. Formulated with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, this kid-friendly mineral sunscreen provides broad-spectrum, head-to-toe sun protection from harmful UV rays, including 98% of UVB rays. With up to 80 minutes of water resistance, this is the ultimate choice for more fun under the sun. With a new and improved formula, this 100% mineral sunscreen now includes antioxidant-rich Blue Algae. How to Use: Shake well prior to use. Apply liberally to dry skin 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, or at least every 2 hours. For topical use only. Keep out of reach of children. For children under 6 months of age: Ask a doctor. Sun protection measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've tried so many different sunscreen brands at this point, and even though they all have the same SPF this is the only brand that has prevented sunburn both for us and our kids. We've used it on our 2 year old and our infant and they've had no skin reactions or irritation. It does take a little bit of rubbing in if you want the white sheen to completely disappear, but it's certainly much subtler than any other mineral or kids sunscreen I've tried that leaves white smears.

I didn't like that if you apply a large amount, it doesn't blend easily into the skin, and the girl ended up white. I don't know if a spray would have been better. As for protection, it has an effect; my daughters turned tan, I think because of their dark skin. The product isn't one of my favorites. I need to use it more often to be able to write a better review. It has SPF 50 and lasts 80 minutes. I can confirm that it's long-lasting.

It doesn't have that toxic scent of regular sunscreens, and it also contains optimal antioxidants to care for children's sensitive skin. It also contains algae, which gives me the confidence to know I'm using natural products on my little one and protecting him at the same time. With its SPF 50, I can go to the beach, the pool, or on a hike without worrying about UV rays. My children don't feel uncomfortable with the cream because it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave them greasy or sticky, and, as I mentioned, it doesn't have a strong odor.

It’s gentle on sensitive skin, doesn’t have a strong smell, and provides excellent sun protection. I also appreciate that it’s a mineral-based formula, so I feel safer using it on my child’s skin. It applies easily, rubs in better than other mineral sunscreens I’ve tried, and stays on through water play. Definitely a must-have for sunny days!

There is a bit of a cast which I posted a picture of, left on my face after our use. I’m not entirely sure this would be a good product for somebody with darker skin tones for this reason. However, this doesn’t mean I won’t be using the product. I think if I were to choose, I would choose a spray version of this product. The scent is very mild, compared to chemical products I’ve used in the past. I used it around my eyes and have not had any sensitivity or reactions. With that being said I would still not use it underneath make up as there is still a greasiness left behind that would not be compatible.

As a mom, I’m always looking for a sunscreen that’s safe, gentle, and actually works and this one checks all the boxes. My kids have sensitive skin, he is autistic it’s hard for me to put some sunscreen on him because he doesn’t like the texture, this time he told me mom it feels good, and I was so happy to hear that. this mineral formula didn’t cause any irritation at all. It goes on smoothly, absorbs well, and doesn’t leave them looking ghostly white. The SPF 50 gives me peace of mind, especially during long beach days, and the water resistance (up to 80 minutes!) is a huge plus. I also love that its pediatrician recommended and includes antioxidant rich blue algae. Definitely a must-have for any parent who wants strong sun protection without harsh chemicals!

The scent is very minimal - almost not there- but just smells fresh. The UV color changing cap is the coolest idea I’ve ever seen. This feature has really help bring attention to the presence of UV rays when I wasn’t aware of their effects. I’ve included pictures of the sunscreen bottle in direct indoor sunlight and shaded indoors to see the difference. The cap is very blue in direct sunlight. I wouldn’t have realized the UV effects at this spot otherwise. The texture is not “greasy” but it does leave a sheen on the skin.
My kids are ready to be in the sun!

I love how it is lightweight and the kids do not complain about it being sticky or having sunscreen all over my cars black interior. Unlike the American ingredients, they leave out the potentially cancer-causing ones. This sunscreens goes on the skin white, but then becomes completely invisible. I like using it on my face because of the dewy finish.
