I've always used the drills my husband has, but they are significantly heavier and can be difficult to hold with pressure in tight places. This drill, with the battery attached, is lightweight enough that I can apply enough pressure to install screws in the tightest of places. The battery charges quickly with a backup available for longer projects or to use with the included amazingly, powerful, adjustable flashlight.

As expected it is heavier with the battery attached. It is also very nice that it is flat on the bottom of the battery so it sits nicely when placed down. The flashlight gives off good light the 2 batteries are interchangable, it can be angled several different ways ups and down and it also sits nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is exactly what I needed so I was super excited to receive it, complimentary to try, in exchange for my honest opinion. I absolutely couldn't wait to open the box and try it out. I am a 55 yr old female with smaller hands and weaker hand strength. My cordless screwdriver bit the dust, and my drill is heavy and bulky to lift. This drill is in between those two sizes... easy to use for smaller projects but powerful enough for bigger projects (and that's with the batteries attached). Plus, it comes with two batteries so you can use the flashlight to light the way for the screwdriver. The flashlight can be positioned in multiple ways. I've already finished a few projects with it. I love this and highly recommend it.

This is a very practical drill and driver set, that is great for DIY'ers. It has all of the torque and power that you would expect with a 20 volt drill/driver combo. Heavy enough to get the job done, but light enough to use without arm fatigue. It fits your hand, like a glove. Great for all of your household chores. The added flashlight and convenient bag are a definite plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used the Blue Ridge drill for various tasks in setting up our baby nursery and it worked well -- building the crib, hanging shelves, curtains, and pictures. It comes with a double ended bit (basically one side flat head and one side phillips). We already had a set of drill bits from an old drill that we lost, but if you do not have one you will need to buy it separately from this set. The set that we had worked great with this drill. The Blue Ridge drill had plenty of power for all the projects we used it for and the battery lasted a long time. The drill has 20 different speeds and forward/reverse settings so you can adjust to what you need. I love that the set came with two batteries so you can change one while using the other. It says that the batteries are interchangeable with other Blue Ridge tools, which sounds like a great convenience if we want to add more tools to our collection. This drill has the added bonus of also serving as a work light. Our last drill also had this function and I was surprised at how much we used the light. This light lets off very bright light and is handy for projects around the house and emergency situations. The light head can rotate in different directions to adjust to what you need. The drill also comes with a handy carrying bag for everything.
