Q: In the description both standard/queen and king size are 20' long. I measured 3 o my standard size pillows and they are 23" or 24" long. Does the 20" L x 30" W fit a standard size pillow?

A: Hello, The protector is not treated with any chemicals, is 100% cotton and the inside has polyester fill batting to make it waterproof. Thank you for your question.

Q: RE: the above Q&A, you are saying that the bedbug "treatment" applied to this product is purely a mechanical (not chemical) barrier made of 100% cotton? The "treatment" just means how it's woven?

A: This pillow does not use chemicals. It is developed using a smart weave design that prevents bed bugs or dust mites from being able to surpass the pillowcase to enter the pillow.

The item was advertised as being 100% cotton. When it arrived, I found one tag sewn on the inside said 100%cotton, another tag said "filling" was 100% polyester. Some sort of unidentified plastic material was bonded to the inside surface. Returned immediately.

I ordered four of these - not for bedbug protection just to use with some old pillows that needed new protections. The quilting is nice and they washed up well BUT . . . first of all they are too big (standard sized pillows) so they shift around and tend to bunch up or hang out the hem edge of the pillow cases. Second - and MOST IMPORTANTLY - they get VERY HOT within minutes of putting your head down on them. The inside is lined with a fabric type plastic which does not breathe (no wonder the bugs die!). By morning the back of my husband's an my head was wet as if we had just washed it only it was sweat. I found my two covers on the floor after the second night. I must have taken them off during the night. My husband waited to take them off until he went to bed the third night. He is sooo brave! I would return them but I didn't keep the packaging.

For those of you that are wondering how it’s possible that these covers could be 100% cotton and still keep out bugs, this is how... IT IS LINED WITH SOME SORT OF PLASTIC MATERIAL. As you can see from the pics, even the tag just says 100% cotton and nothing else. I have no idea what the lining material is made of. Wish the product description would have been more detailed. Even though I was looking for a 100% cotton ONLY cover, for me, they are not worth returning. Disappointed, though, as they are not breathable at all. Guess I should have expected that since they are bug proof.

These do run large but I don't mind since I didn't want to cram my pillows into a protector. The quality is excellent and I am very pleased with my choice. Too early to say if they help with my cat's dust mite allergy, but zipper seems snug and the plastic on the inside seems impermeable. Thumbs up!

Guess I didn't read the dimensions on the standard/queen because it's way too big for my standard pillow. Make sure you check that before ordering. I had to put my sewing machine to work. Also, I ordered it for the quilting, to add a bit more loft to my pillow, and it does have a bit of quilting, but not what I expected. Not thrilled with it but kept it.

I have a really old feather pillow that I cannot do without. This pillow protector is perfect for my "rock" as my husband calls it. I love it and it will help my pillow last a lot longer!
