Q: How much tablespoons of coffee is recommended if we fill it to the top with water.. at first i thought it was 12 cups so I tried adding like 18 tablespoons but i feel like that might be too much?? Help and thanks!
A: I use 4 scoops or healing tablespoons of coffee, stir and refrigerate for next day.
submitted byD AZ - 4 years agoA: I use about a cup of coffee grounds for every 3-4 cups of water.
submitted byMichelle B - 10 months agoA: We recommend using 1 scoop of grounds for every 4 ounces of water you pour. Cold-brew usually demands more grounds than when made hot due to the extended brewing process. Enjoy!

Q: Can you use regular coffee grounds
A: Yes you can, although I get better results using coarse grounds.
submitted bywendylattes - 5 years agoA: Yes, it's recommended that you use medium or coarse grounds.
submitted byNoooope - 6 years agoA: I have read in several places that coarse grounds are best for cold brew because you retain more of the oil that way

Q: Does this product come with an instruction booklet for the amount of coffee grounds and water to use?
A: Yes, the BEAN Cold Brew Maker does come with an instruction booklet that provides a basic guide on how much ground coffee and water to use. For our French presses, we generally recommend one Bodum scoop (included) per “cup” of coffee (4oz) you are making. For cold brew, we suggest doubling that amount. Keep in mind that factors like the type of beans, roast, grind size, and steeping time can all impact the flavor, so we encourage you to experiment with different ratios and techniques to find your ideal brew. Enjoy!

Q: do the grounds float around? why is there no net? like a filter
A: This Cold Brew Coffee Maker features a French Press filter that is used at the end of the brewing process. Simply switch the refrigerator storage lid for the French Press lid and slowly press down using the weight of your hand. The filter will push all of the grounds to the bottom of the coffee maker and you will be able to pour a cup of smooth homemade Cold Brew.

Q: How many scoops of coffee should i put in with the water all the way to the top?
A: For hot coffee it's recommended to use 1 rounded tablespoon or 1 Bodum Scoop for every 4oz of water. For cold brew it's recommended to double this and use 2 rounded tablespoons or 2 Bodum Scoops for every 4oz of water.

Q: what is the difference between making cold brew in this and making cold brew in a french press?
A: The Cold Brew Coffee Maker is a french press that is optimized for making cold brew. A separate lid from the plunger allows it to fit easily into a refrigerator overnight and the spout on the plunger lid means that once the grounds are pressed down it is easy to pour.

Q: I’ve never used a French press or a cold brew maker before. Some reviews say you can drink from the same pitcher of coffee for a week, as long as it goes back into the fridge. Don’t the coffee grounds get moldy/funky after being wet for a week?
A: Hello, if you keep in fridge you should have no issues after several. When you press the press down it separates the grinds from the water preventing soggy grinds from sitting in the carafe. Enjoy!

Q: Can this be use for hot coffee too?
A: Absolutely! The double wall design will also keep your brew warmer for longer. Use this the same way you would a normal French press. Add Hot (Not boiling) Water. Add Ground Coffee. Brew for 4 Minutes. Press Down and Done!
