I have had this machine for about 3-5 months it plays very well, good sound/bass. However, the battery drops charge even when not in use (turned off) and am not happy about that hence the 3 star. If the battery problem can be fixed, it's a solid 5 star..

However, if the system does not detect a signal (Bluetooth® or AUX) for 30 minutes*, it will shut off. Love everything about this speaker. Everything I need and nothing I don’t. Sturdy, aesthetically pleasing and man oh man sounds crisp and full. I love Boses sound signature through all there products and it’s Bose so I know it will last. Highly recommended Bluetooth speaker. I love this thing and it’s worth every penny. Have owned many Bose speakers over the years and consider this the crown jewel. Sound is truly remarkable. The design is outstanding as the size speaker generates a crisp clear loud sound you would not expect. Well done and keep the music innovation coming. However fix the app!! Your hardware is amazing but it seems you can’t get software right. Please work on an update. Also cannot pair with Flex?

I upgraded about a month ago from the SoundLink flex to the SoundLink Max for my secondary home theater setup in the kitchen. I spend about as much time in the kitchen as I do the living room, so we invested when the Black Friday price was right. With Dolby Atmos enabled on our big Galaxy tablet, it's a nice experience, filling the kitchen with sound. Once The equalizer in the Bose app was set with bass increased, dialogue is clear, and the sound is very full. At the msrp, I wouldn't have upgraded, but with $100 off it's sound investment or something I listen to every day. Even with TV and movies.

This speaker can reach deep full sounds. Can provide a fulfilling listening experience for most tracks. I just started playing with the free equalizer app...didn't know it was a feature for awhile. Sound was good enough so i didnt look for it. However, now the equalizer may help songs that feature higher notes better. Very cool speaker !

I replaced a Bose SL3, I bought 12yrs ago. This speaker is a whole lot better than the old model!!! The base is amazing and the features are a great improvement on the other old Bluetooth connectivity!! Definitely worth the price and would recommend it to anyone who desires quality sound!!!

I have an old Soundlink wanted to hear if this new Bose has a better sound. Well, I can’t tell too much of a difference. Was going to return but changed my mind cause of battery lasting more longer, can charge up my phone and it speaks the battery level.
