I have seen it written in these reviews over and over; these replacement heads do not last an appropriate amount of time. I wish that I did not purchase this razor.

Quality and premium products is always something we want to deliver. Of course, our 92s Foil and Cutters aren't an exception, so we're sorry to hear about this. They should last around 18 months, but the length will vary based on things like how often you clean/lubricate the shaver, how long your facial hair is, etc. If you have a clean and charge station, we recommend using it often to get the best results. For such an expensive shaver, the quality sure has tanked recently. The head which came with my shaver lasted about 18 months before the foil ruptured. Fortunately, I had bought a spare, and that seemed perfectly reasonable. However, the spare, which I've had for just under a year, just ruptured in exactly the same way, and I didn't figure it out until it had chewed up my neck. It was $50 then, and is $70 now. By all reports, I can expect the new, more expensive replacement to last even less time. Given that I can get a completely new (other brand, obvs) shaver for only a little more than the *head* for this thing, it seems like an obvious choice. It's a pity, I used to consider Braun to be a top-of-the-line brand, but that's clearly slipping. The "loss-leader device/profitable replacement supply" model only works if people want to keep buying the expensive supplies, Braun.

With our quality and safety checks, this isn't what we expect, so we suggest you discontinue using that head. Typically, these are supposed to last for around 18 months, but they can wear down quicker depending on shaving habits and maintenance. To ensure it lasts, we always recommend cleaning it after each and every use, and also lubricating the device with the light machine oil, or using the cleaning solution for the clean and charge station many Series 9 models have. This should help make your head last longer and cut better, but because your safety and satisfaction mean the world to us, we'd like to help and make a detailed report to our Quality and Safety Team. I expected better from Braun. I have had nothing but issues with the replacement shaving head. Can I give negative ten stars? I purchased another replacement head on April 3rd of this year. It has already worn out. I have just purchased another razer, and it is not a Braun. I'll post a video of a shotgun blasting the whole thing to Brazillian pieces. The prior razer head probably was purchased on Jul 28, 2022. I had another Bruan razer and it worked forever and the shaving heads lasted about two years. I do not have a heavy beard. Class action lawsuit anyone? Piece of junk. Spent $200 plus on a Braun. Braun used to be a good company. Signed Disgruntled former Braun Customer

Performance and durability. I see lots of bad reviews but here's the deal I think. The 9 series has one the of the most powerful motors on a razor. The heads are like anything else new always will out last used like a new car you never get the same mileage out of the second set of tires or brakes because thing get worn move around more. The foils I use get cleaned every use I do my head and face with it from 2 to 4 times a week and I also have had foils pull my hair but I just hold the head in hot water and shake it that seems to help the blades clean up the edges and perform better. But I still get a year out of them I've put 4 or 5 heads on this 9 series and had it same amount of years. Before this shaver I burned thru 3 others. So speaking for myself I'd buy it again and again.

Allowing for the possibility that the product could fall apart tomorrow (doubtful but I will write another review if it does), my first use of my first Braun Series 9 replacement head was great. In fact, I didn't realize how old my original on had become!

I’m a barber and I do mostly skin fades all day.I have been using the braun for almost 4 years,starting with the 3 series.I absolutely love this shaver and how smooth it leaves the skin.the original shaver head literally lasted me almost 9 months of shaving all day everyday.I’ve had the 9 series for a year and a half,and already used 5 replacement heads...I clean my braun daily for sanitation purposes...I truly wish I could find a good replacement head.I’m about to start looking at other shavers

I have always used Braun; 30 years satisfied with this brand. A while ago, when I decided to upgrade my Series 7 I naturally bought a Series 9. I loved it until I had to replace the head, about 18 mos after purchased. The first replacement blade took some time to break in but I dealt with it. The 2nd set was purchased 12 mos later and was worse than the previous ones. After 7mos I’m on my 3rd set and am using my old Series7. I want use use the 9 again.Where can I get a set like the original?

Series 7 was the best. Series 9 it is obvious you have a cassette 92S problem. The head Does Not last 18 months based on the reviews below and my head’s plastic middle two parts falling out. The original head on the brand-new shaver (series 9) last 18 months. The second replacement was 12 months. This time 6 months. Why are you using plastic parts? Restore your trust with a long term consumer.

I have owned Braun shavers for over a decade and bought series 9 in November 2017 to replace a series 7, and I love the shaver. However, since November 2017, I have had to replace the head 4 times making the average life span of the head about seven months. This time around, the top protective layer of the head that comes in contact with the skin ruptured (I have the photograph) causing severe discomfort before I noticed. Such BAD QUALITY of the head for a GREAT SHAVER is UNACCEPTABLE.

Read the poor reviews and still decided to take a chance and got one. Well they were right. Poor quality as it keeps cutting me over and over with a bad shave. Missed multiple areas and it takes forever to complete a shave where I want go go back to raiser blades. For this price very dissatisfied and disappointed. Flagship model does not mean the best. Original head was way better and this new replacement is not the same only after 4-6 months of use already failing.Braun fix it or lose customers

The foil and cutter block part number 92S needs to be replaced in 8 months' time, not the 18 months they suggest. Why Braun? This is disappointing. I brush off the insides after every shave, and i put it on the cleaning station to be cleaned by the Braun cleaning fluid after every single shave as well. Disappointed.

A high quality foil and cutter is needed to get you the results that you want all while lasting around 18 months. Luckily, our 92S Foil and Cutter can do just that when you hold the shaver at a 90-degree angle, apply light pressure while shaving, and use the proper cleaning technique like you have. However, if you have a thicker beard, you'll be shaving it more often which reduces the lifetime. My shaver head lasted for about 5 months until it started to come apart and cut up my face. I have yet to order a replacement because after reading reviews all over the internet, it appears to be a waste of money. I should not have bought this shaver in the first place, a total waste of money. My older Braun worked great, but it doesn't appear that Braun cares to fix the issue with the Series 9.

Wish I would have thought to read the replacement head reviews before the purchase of my series 9. I am very pleased with the unit itself but the cutter head didn't make it 6 months and they advertised 18 months. additionally, the heads are overpriced for the time they last. FIX THIS ISSUE BRAUN I PAID ALOT LOT OF MONEY FOR A TOP QUALITY SHAVER

These shaver heads are over priced and you would be lucky to get 6-9 months out of them. You are definitely not getting 18 months as advertised. I would recommend not buying a series 9 since the shaver heads don’t last

I must agree with almost everyone else here, the razor is great but the head is just awful. I have replaced so many of them because they are lucky to last 6 months. If they were a $15-$20 part, no biggie but for the price they are asking just for a replacement head it is insane! I really do love this razor or I would have never bought as many heads as I have but I will think twice before ever getting another Braun product as the long term cost of ownership is ridiculous!

I currently have a Braun electric toothbrush, many years old, works great, never skips a beat. Had a Series 7 electric razor, loved it. Thought I would gift my series 7, upgrade to the series 9, big mistake. I am not hard on my razor, at 66 years old, don’t have a lot of facial hair, don’t press down hard on the foil, but it easily breaks. I have been stubborn and have bought replacement foils, but they last about 6 months. Hair fall out of the foil, even when cleaned. Bad idea!

It's interesting that the head replacement is promoted as not needing to be replaced for up to 18 months. I consistently find the head will only last 6 months (at the most) before the screen starts to break apart. I am on my fourth replacement, so this seems to be the actual life span and each replacement is obscenely expensive. It's an annoyance to an otherwise great product experience (for the shaver).

I purchased this razor for my husband less than 6 months ago and he is having problems with the blade! Braun needs to correct this problem or send out a recall for them all with a full refund! This is unsuitable and disgraceful!
