Q: Does this create distilled water?

submitted by Lauren - 5 months ago
  • A: That's a good question, Lauren. No, our Hub System doesn't make distilled water. We hope this helps, and if you need us, give us a call at 800-242-7482. Have a great day! Jeffery from The Brita Tea

Water tastes badly as

Have used pitchers for many years always with good results so decided to try the countertop version. Water tastes awful, don't know what it is but I've seen other reviewers who said they had it tested and that the tested water from the dispenser was worse or same as tap water. Do not recommend way too expensive for bad water

Easy to use water filter system!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brita Hub Compact Countertop Water Filter System is easy to use and space saving. I appreciate that. It came with two filters and the filter was easy to install. The appliance is nice and compact so it doesn't take up too much countertop space but there's also enough space and height so that most reusable water bottles can be filled easily. I like the handle for the refillable water reservoir, but I still support the bottom when it is completely full to avoid stressing out the handle too much. My only quibble would be that the fill line can be a little difficult to see. I also like that you can press the water dispenser button twice for a continuous stream of water, but make sure you pay attention because I looked away for a little bit and accidentally caused an overflow. While I still use my Brita filter pitcher, I also now use this filter hub on a daily basis in conjunction with my single serve coffee maker to make cups of coffee, tea, or just have a cup of hot water. It makes for a great little coffee/tea corner in my home.

Most used product in our home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly was I was looking for! I don’t have room in my small refrigerator to put a Brita filter pitcher. I love that the Britta hub is a countertop filtration system. With its sleek design, it’s narrow enough that it does not take up much space at all. It has a 9 cup capacity that is easy to fill. Water is filtered and taste great and is easy for me just to take a glass or fill a bottle or to use for cooking or in my coffee pot. Filter last at least six months and every time I go to dispense the water the light on top lets me know if my filter is good with a green light or it’s getting close to needing changes with the yellow light, and has the red light where it let you know it needs changing. This Brita Hub has become our most used appliance in our home. The best part is filtering my own water and saving money. Very convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have hard and rusty well water with lots of minerals so a water filter is a must. I've used many other brands but this one has worked the best for my application. I like that it didn't take up space in the refrigerator like other pitcher filters. It holds quite a bit of water and the filters last a long time. I like the style and it fits in well in my kitchen.

It’s very easy to setup, plus it takes up no more space than a coffee machine. With just the push of a button, I get fresh filtered water. This really saves me from buying cases and cases of bottled water.

The water tastes much better than straight from the tap and it is so easy to fill up any bottle or container you choose. I love how eco friendly this is as well since it saves me from using so many bottles of water. The design is slim and fits perfectly on my counter without taking up too much space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really compact countertop filter that fits nicely in my small kitchen. I keep it right next to my sink and use the faucet to refill it very easily. Very simple to set up and holds enough water for me to fill up my big 40 oz cup at least twice in a day. Wish it also chilled the water but ah well. Nice and minimalist looking with a great taste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brita Hub Compact Countertop Water Filter System was easy to setup. The filter which came with the system was easy to fix. Instructions were clear on how to use for the first time. We have a new born so it’s helping to use this water to mix formula. This is portable and sits well on the countertop. Wiping it for dust is easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brita Hub Compact Countertop Water Filter System is a perfect addition to my kitchen. It has a sleek design and fits perfectly under my cabinets. It's also very slim, so it does not take up too much space. Set up to use the Brita Hub takes less than a minute. The refillable tank comes with a handy handle for ease of transferring from sink to Hub. There is an indication light that will flash red if you do not put your filter in properly. The Brita Hub comes with a 6 month water filter which is great because it will help save money. It gives you the option to manually. Fill your water or automatically fill your water. The water comes out slightly fast, so keep an eye on it while dispensing. Overall, the water comes out fresh and clean a great addition for my family. I highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3 things I love about this product are 1. It’s sleek and pretty to look at 2. The water filtration is top notch. My water always tastes delicious 3. It takes up minimal space on my counter. I also love that I’m saving money by not buying bottled water. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I cannot get the continuous flow feature to work for me. The instructions say that it’s due to air in the filter, so hopefully that resolves with time. Otherwise I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this item as a replacement for bottled water used in my household. I read many reviews before using and read people having issues installing the filter. I did not have this issue. We have hard water where I live and I couldn't be happier with this unit and the end product the filter dispenses. The water is clean and a definite upgrade to the local municipal water! We also use it in the coffee maker and it has made a world of difference! In my household with two adults it works well. You use the water and refill as needed.

Setting it up was super quick and only takes minutes with no tools required. Just insert the filter, fill the 9 cup water in the removable reservoir, plug it in, and flush the system twice to start enjoying instant filtered water with no waiting time. It's user-friendly, even kids can operate it, and to top it all, the water tastes great. Additionally, it's lightweight and can conveniently accommodate glasses and bottles up to 12” tall. It has a thin design yet holds plenty of water to last the day. I do have to say coffee tastes so much better using this system to brew it. I have not had to change the filter yet since I haven't had for long enough to change out the 6 month filter

Love that there aren’t a ton of pieces to clean and that such a small filter can give you filtered water for up to 6 months. My kids have been craving sodas lately but with this set up on the counter it’s so easy for them to use, they have been drinking much water and I absolutely love that! We have been using this for drinking and also for cooking like when we need to boil water for spaghetti. Less plastic, less waste. Minimal counter space used. Very pleased!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this Brita water filtration system. It's perfect for my family. We drink alot of water and buying bottled water gets expensive. The tap water at our house doesn't taste that great. After using this I won't need to get bottled water anymore. The water that comes out of this, tastes clean and amazing. The filter works great and the water comes out crystal clear. It's also the perfect size for my countetop. I don't have a ton of extra space but this tales up barely any room. Its super easy to use and to clean. I would absolutely recommend getting one of these.
