BRITE Instant Color Zero Waste Temporary Hair Color - 0.176oz

Doesn't work at all!

Not sure how this turns out on blond-blond hair, but didn't do anything for light brown hair with extra time added. It was a waste of money, time, and product. I was excited about the concept, so I'm pretty disappointed it didn't work. Not buying again.

I've been doing various shades of light pink for over 5 years now, and got pretty excited when I see color lines that I've tried yet. I went with Rose, because the box and color name would lead you to believe it's a lovely muted/dusty shade of pink, and prefer mix my color with conditioners/hair masks-- so this was a no brainer. First off, the color comes with a compostable mixing bowl-- while this seems like a valuable addition to color, and thoughtful, it's not. It is soooo small, there is no possible way for someone to completely mix fine color pigment into 100ml of conditioner. This alone will leave the color looking inconsistent once applied. Next, Rose implies that the color is pink-- this is not pink, it's literally the shade of chocolate pudding. I even tried diluting the mix with additional 100ml of conditioner. Nope. Still feeling puzzled about the color I was looking at in front of me, I went to their website to look for swatches-- they don't have a single swatch. If you scan the QR code, it'll take you to a landing page on Brite's website that links you purchase at target, and gives info about non-waste color, and a single application result for the Rose shade. Seriously? What type of hair care company sells hair color of any sort without swatches? They would want everyone to know how great their hair will look after they use their product, or in the least let them know if the product will work over their current color. I'm very disappointed that I purchased this, and even more disappointed that I wasted an expensive bottle of bond conditioning mask on this product since it's unuseable and falsely advertised. I'm all about Target partnering with smaller brands, but should do a better job vetting their partners.

This dye is wonderful. I love that it's ethical and works at the same time. We mixed it with one spoon of a hair masque and a load of conditioner, up until it reached a yogurt-like thickness. He has thick hair, and before the dye it was yellow. Mine is medium, and before the dye it was a grayish-blue. There are two pictures showing the product of the dye and our/his hair. 10/10 LOVE.

The "rose" color turned my hair a dark gross grey/green color in certain spots! Wish I used a different product. Waste of money and ruined my hair.

Don’t use the blue on already natural ash blonde hair. My daughter’s color turned muddy gray-green-blue. Like a muddy green color. We have scrubbed her hair 4 times now in dish soap. So glad this is temporary

Easy to use and very true temporary color! Good quality!!

Unfortunately it did not work out for us, and never showed the color for us. I was really looking forward to it but it just didn’t work out. .

This was cute and easy to use! My hair is so dark it is almost black and it was very faint, but my daughters hair is a little lighter brown and she loved the dip dyed look on her ends! We did it twice and the overall look was easy to achieve and clean up was easy too!

I love the idea of being able to color my hair and my daughter’s hair fantasy colors with natural, low waste products. We tried this on my daughter’s natural dark blonde hair, and it did very little. We only left it on for 20 minutes, though the instructions give 10 minutes as the base amount of time. If I did this again, I would have left it on for a much longer time.

It’s commendable that everything is recyclable. With that comes the fact it’s still a box dye and there’s no true consistency or guarantee or will always be the same. Works fine…not long lasting…smell is a hair dye.

I wanted to love this hair dye but it just didn’t work. It was great being zero waste and I was excited to use it. The color was great for a couple days but after that it was pink in my hair. I followed the instructions to a T.

Highly recommend!! This might be one of the most beautiful and lasting hair colors I’ve tried. I have brown hair but applied it to sections that had been bleached previously. I will say that I wouldn’t consider it “pastel” blue, it’s more of an electric/bright blue. After five washes or so it did fade and become more light blue. Love that it is zero waste!

I was a little nervous to try this product since I have to use my own conditioner and in my head that meant there was a possibility this could go very wrong. I was pleasantly surprised by how soft my hair felt after the process and the vibrancy of the color on my hair. I rated it 4 only because there were no gloves that came with the product, there was no fill to this line on the container, and that the product seeped into the container so I felt like there was a lot of wasted product. However it was simple to use and my hair feels soft and looks super red.

Really love Brite dyes - especially this one for being zero waste and cruelty free. The red is vibrant on lighter hair colors and does wash out naturally after about 3 weeks of daily washes. Because this kit is compostable, still had to find gloves to use for the process. Wish there was a line on the mixing cup to show 100ml so had to guess.

This does not work very well unless you have platinum blonde hair. My hair is dirty blonde and it was hard to see any color. I found it easy to mix up the color and apply it. If you have blonde hair it will work well.

This hair dye was super easy to use. I loved that I was able to use my own conditioner to mix with it so I didn’t have to worry about any ingredients that I typically avoid. It was very easy to mix in the provided bowl, and the color showed up fairly well on all three of us (brunette with blonde highlights, dirty blonde, and blonde). We’ll see how long it lasts in our hair, but I’d definitely try it again.

Absolutley gorgeous and it barely touched the environment while using it. I liked How it did not leave a carbon footprint behind and that it colored the hair in one time. We didn’t have a bunch of different plastic containers to use either. One packet for the entire job.

I mixed the product according to directions, applied to hair and left on for 20 minutes. I had to provide my own gloves. The color turned out lighter than expected, maybe I should have left it on longer. My hair does feel much softer. I do like how the packaging is compostable and there is less waste than other brands.

This hair dye is really nice. I like the texture of it, I used it on my daughter’s hair and she really likes it. Of course with a color like this, you need to lighten if your hair is darker. Otherwise I definitely recommend.
