I was very hesitant about buying this can opener after reading so many bad reviews but for only $3 I figured there was nothing to lose and although I've only used it twice it works like a charm and feels like it will continue to do so

After six months of light usage, it barely works. Now it sometimes leaves behind tiny metal shavings that it cuts from the can lid. It seems incredibly dangerous to eat the food after the metal shavings fall in. So basically it is worse than useless, and potentially dangerous.

To preface, I have never written a review on a Target product before. However, this can opener was so bad I felt I needed to let people know not to buy it. Yes, it’s only $3, but it would not even cut through a simple can of beans. A complete waste of $3 and would give it zero stars if I could!
