Rich, thick, flavorful like your Italian grandma got mad and threw every herb in the cabinet. Not too sweet, not too salty, just straight-up restaurant quality in a jar. I'm talking "make you lick the spoon and pretend you cooked from scratch" good. I threw it on pasta, dipped my bread in it, lowkey thought about putting it on eggs the next morning. Zero regrets. If you're still buying watery, flavorless grocery shelf spaghetti sauce? Do better. Grab Carbone. You'll never go back.

The consistency is great, with just enough chunkiness to know they used whole tomatoes but smooth enough to go well on any shape of pasta without weighing it down too much. The flavor was great, with a bit of sweetness (which is how I prefer my tomato sauces) but also a slight kick of spice that I was not expecting, but which was a pleasant surprise. Everything was very well balanced in terms of flavor and it didn't have any of that metallic/processed aftertaste that I find with a lot of bottled and canned sauces. Honestly, this would be my go-to.

This one tasted so fresh, normally I'd be scared to try something that has basil in it because when it's from a can it tastes kind of funky. Not this one. This one added flavor and tasted so fresh instead of that weird funky taste. You would never know you were eating sauce from a can if someone didn't tell you.

It has a robust flavor profile and you can just tell it is made from the freshest ingredients. When we are short on time and need a yummy meal, we do pizza sauce on a tortilla with cheese and pepperoni, roll it up and cook in the air fryer. It was SO good!

The sauce had a nice consistency but it was lacking something. I just couldn't put my finger on it. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't a Wow factor. Would I buy this again? When I got a chance to taste this Carbone Tomato Basil sauce I was neutral, open but had no expectations! But when I tried it and when the family tried it, we were BLOWN! This is the best pasta sauce hands down that we have tried from a bottle. I have to confess it tastes just like home made. I used it with some baked ravioli and everyone including me, we were licking our fingers! Everyone was craving and we repeated our meal until the sauce was over - within a day! Like I said exactly like home made, so I may not have to make this marinara sauces with tomato basil from scratch again. Already planning to order more :) The tomatoes in it were fresh, juicy, had real basil, and whatever spices were there were just the right amount. I hope this product is consistent quality because I am planning to buy this again and again! The texture is amazing with all the tomatoes crushed well and the consistency was uniform throughout. The taste was amazing - not too tart, not too sweet, just right! In Love!
