CeraVe AM Face Moisturizer SPF 30 is an oil-free daily facial moisturizing lotion with SPF 30, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide that offers UV protection, and contains ceramides to help restore the skin's barrier. This CeraVe face moisturizer with sunscreen is a hydrating facial lotion that spreads easily, is absorbed quickly, and leaves a non-greasy finish. Non-comedogenic face sunscreen won't clog pores, so is suitable for all skin types. This CeraVe sunscreen moisturizer features three essential ceramides, hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing niacinamide, plus patented MVE Delivery Technology to supply much-needed moisture throughout the day. Sunscreen for face is allergy tested, oil-free, fragrance-free, and developed with dermatologists.

Unlock the pump for first time use by twisting it to the left and pressing down several times until the product comes out. Note: You may actually have to press down on the pump as many as 10-20 times to initially begin dispensing lotion.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure
Reapply at least every 2 hours
Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating
Children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor

I’m a guy. My younger brother got me into this brand. Have been using this daily for well over 2 years now. Never had an acne problem and this bottle did not affect my face negatively whatsoever. My face has arguably looked better in complexion since then. These people refuse to believe that a healthy diet, exercise, stress management, and hydration will allow for a product like this to be functional. This is the ONLY thing i put on my face. One bottle lasts me several months with one squirt daily. Ignore the feeble reviews smh

I found this very hard to use. It either sat on my skin and stayed white, or when I tried to blend it in, it immediately started to pill up. It's extremely hard to find the line between blended and pilled. I either had white smears on my face or it pilled.

I would give 0 stars if I could! Based on how many others had the same reaction, they need to take this off the shelves IMMEDIATELY! I've used this in the past and was fine, but this last batch something is different. After a few hours it started burning, making my face become super itchy and felt tight and visibly it got puffy and swollen. It gave me the worst allergic/chemical reaction! Little tiny bumps all over, everywhere was itchy, it burns. It's been 24 hours and I've washed my face multiple times and it hasn't gone down any. My skin was clear and soft before this and I hope this doesn't cause any permanent damage. They seriously need to take it off the shelves!

A total no for me, I bougth both the AM and PM creams, the PM cream is very light and feels good in my skin, but the AM… just couple hours after I applied it I started feeling my face very itchy, is almost red now, I washed my face this morning and it felt dry, I had to apply an oinment from another brand to soothe the discomfort.

If a daily moisturizer smells like sunscreen and feels like sunscreen, I won't use it. This one feels like straight sunscreen. It's heavy, thick, doesn't absorb well, and smells like sunscreen.

I have dry, sensitive skin so certain products feel uncomfortable and heavy on my face. This product was one of them. I'm not saying it's a bad product but if u have dry and sensitive skin like me then it's probably not the best option. It feels heavy and it's thick to apply. It also didn't moisturize my face that. You can definitely tell that the sunscreen is active which is a good thing of you don't mind the sunscreen smell. For the most part, if you were to use this product with dry skin then it would be best to use a second source to the moisture before applying this. This works better has an sunscreen then a moisturizer so it would be best to moisturize your face with something else and then add this on for sunscreen.

No Go pilling

This is a big NO for me. I LOVE create products but this ain’t it. It causes my makeup to pill. This is disappointing because I Love the PM product. I use it every single day like a cult follower. Luckily they have other spf lotions options that are much much better and mix well with makeup.

I’ve been using this product daily for many years and plan to use it forever. At first you will notice a lot of pilling since the lotion is slightly exfoliating. True it’s gross, but it’s not the product that is pilling; it is soaking into your surface layer of dead skin, which rubs off as you try to blend the lotion. The pilling is actually dead skin rubbing off. Within a week the pilling should subside and your face will feel soft and smooth and protected from the sun! With consistent daily use you shouldn’t have any lasting problems with pilling. Try exfoliating your face before first use to possibly avoid the pilling. The sunscreen takes more time to rub in than regular lotion, but that is normal with this form of sunscreen—one of the safer types. It’s worth the hassle to me. I wear it under my makeup as a moisturizer. I love most CeraVe products, and the brand was recommended by my dermatologist. Daily sunscreen is SO important! Even if you don’t like this one, find one that works for you and use it every day. That’s the most important thing!

I am a cancer patient and side effect from treatment is extremely dry skin. While the Cerave cream does wonders for my arms, the facial cream is a total disappointment. It does not penetrate the skin, leaving white dry streaks on the side of my cheeks and will flake off if I touch my skin. Difficult to remove as I can’t use soap on my face.

Thick moisturizing cream with spf

This is a good moisturizer for an everyday use as part as my morning routine. It doubles as an spf as well since it has an spf 30 so I always think that is great. It has a thick cream texture so it helped me dry skin in the winter a lot. It does not have a scent!

I’m generally not a fan of moisturizers from Cerave, since they tend to be very heavy & clogging. The same goes for this one. It takes an effort to blend in before the white cast disappears, & if feels like a thick layer over the skin, instead of it soaking into the skin. I would recommend, especially not if you have acne prone skin.

Flakes and pills on skin and in hair

I really wanted to like this since it’s so affordable. The texture is nice and thick. But even if you rub it in completely it pills up and flakes off your skin. Forget about trying to rub it into your hair line for the SPF - it will und up looking like terrible dandruff. Really impossible to apply makeup up over…. I’m not a big makeup person but like a dab of concealer under my eyes. Even that looks awful on top of this. I’ll be going back to la roche posay.

0/10. I wish I would have read reviews before buying this. I usually use La Roche Posay’s SPF 30 moisturizer, but the price has gone up so I thought I would give this a try as it’s $8 less. I used it for the first time today and it did not absorb into my skin at all, it left a white cast all over my face and neck. I will go back to paying for my other SPF, which wears beautifully on my brown skin and under makeup.

Doesn't absorb properly. It just sits on the skin with a white sheen. Pills up if you rub it too much. Also the pump didn't work. I would not recommend and would not buy again.
