CeraVe Intensive Moisturizing Lotion For Dry to Very Dry Skin

This product makes my skin feel like it’s on FIRE. Immediately after putting on my face, it makes my face feel like it is burning and stinging for a good couple minutes until dies down. I don’t know if it is an ingredient but it is nothing like I have experienced before.

This had my skin burning and itching terribly after applying!

Feels great and hydrating/moisturizing on the face, but I cannot put it on my body after the shower without having extreme itchiness and burning? Very confused by that because it feels fine on my face. I’ve tried using it as body lotion 10+ times and every time I have the same reaction.

I have eczema on my hands and had a sample of CeraVe from my Dermatologist. It must have been a different formula because it was great. I bought the Intensive Moisturizing Lotion with 5% Hydro-Urea and it have made my eczema so itchy and painful. I have tried it multiple times and every time I use it it causes itchy and painful reactions.

This lotion is beyond amazing. I started a new medication that made my skin extremely dry, itchy, and rashy with eczema. I thought hives at first. The daily moisturizer wasn’t cutting it. The thicker moisturizing cream wasn’t cutting it. I tried pure shea butter, pure cocoa butter. Straight up aquaphor. Different things helped with different success rates but I was still so itchy. I saw this on the shelf and bought it out of desperation. I didn’t think it’d work. After the first application I felt relief, and after a few days my skin started visibly improving. I’ve been using it daily for a few weeks now, and I cannot express how thankful I am I bought this lotion. My skin is better than it was before I started taking this new medication. My scars have gotten lighter. My KP has gotten smoother. My full body eczema is virtually gone. My (mild) psoriasis is virtually gone. It has even somehow managed to help mitigate my neuropathic itching. It’s not greasy or heavy or uncomfortable to wear either. It might be too much for a humid summer, but we shall see. I cannot express how thankful I am for this lotion. It’s incredible.

First off it smells like burnt tree logs from a bonfire. As the for lotion yes I think it works well but does leave you feeling a little greasy and sticky afterwards.

Like some other reviews, applied after a shower and instantly had to get back in the shower as both me and my son both experienced a horrible reaction, like intense prickly heat. Really unpleasant and disappointed as I love Cerave products but this is an absolute avoid for us.

If you are thinking about getting CeraVe INTENSIVE Moisturizing Lotion, BEWARE. Started itching and burning badly right away. Washed it off but still red and tender this morning!

My son & I both use CerVe. It is consistent & always delivers positive results for dry skin.

Added this Cerave product to the lineup of skin care lotions, moisturizers and cleansers that I have been able to use safely, and effectively. To-date, I am seeing improvement in the condition of my skin. I have been suffering with palmoplantar psoriasis that is quite compromising. This is another of the wonderful Cerave products in my arsenal dealing with this miserable skin condition.

This lotion left a greasy film on my skin. Also caused itchy feeling. Would never buy again

I found it to be lightweight, non greasy & it absorbs into my skin quickly . It does a great job of keeping my skin hydrated without having to reapply constantly. I've been using different CeraVe products for years without disappointment! This is a wonderful addition to their line of moisturizers.

I absolutely love the intensive moisturizing lotion. I would prefer it being available in a tub versus the bottle as the last one third of the lotion fails to come out of the pump.

I love the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, but the CeraVe Intensive Moisturizing Lotion left me extremely itchy with a red rash on my arms and chest. Legs are a little itchy, but not terrible like my arms and chest. Have been using a wet cloth to calm it, but it's so bad it impacts even sleeping. Not sure what causes it since I've never had an issue with the cream..

Absolutely Horrible—Burns Like Fire and Crusts Like Cement! I had high hopes for the CeraVe Intensive Moisturizing Lotion, but this stuff is an absolute nightmare for my skin. The moment I applied it, my face started burning like I had rubbed acid all over it. I thought maybe it was just a slight tingle—NOPE. Within minutes, my skin felt like it was on fire. As if the pain wasn’t enough, this lotion dried down into a crusty, flaky mess, settling into every fine line and crevice like some kind of cement filler. My skin looked drier than before—almost like I had applied glue instead of moisturizer. The worst part? Even after washing it off, the irritation lingered. If you have even remotely sensitive skin, STAY FAR AWAY. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. Back to the store it goes!

This lotion works so much better for me and my skin than the original! Thanks Cerave for coming up with this one. I was ready to switch to another brank for my face/body lotion, but I discovered this baby and it brought me back. I will buy lots of this as long as you make it.

I’m not sure how this has 5 stars. Every single time I use this it makes my skin tingle and sometimes burn for at least a couple of minutes.

applied this cream on my face & my skin just glows! makeup application was smoother and i am so glad i could buy this cream because it sells out immediately!
